what about diesel engines' maintenance and parts costs? are they still more expensive to maintain than those of petrol engines?

Yep good article. Pretty much sums up the difference with old school diesel vs common-rail diesel. But yeah, parang wala ata sa article yung parts and maintenance? Bakit kaya? And mukhang Ford sponsored yung article ah!

But despite that I still love my CRDi Santa Fe. I love its low range torque, to hell with PMS and the gap between diesel and gas prices di pa naman ako naghihirap

P.S. As I write this, the price of diesel is now higher than gas. Does that mean na next year presyo ng sasakyang gas eh mas mataas kay sa sa presyo ng sasakyang diesel?

As long as you follow PMS of diesel engines, it will give you value for money.
Diesel engines can be remanufactured back to as new engines without reboring and oversizing unlike most of the gasoline engines.

Mileage per liter and durability of engines no gas engine can ever match a diesel mill.

malaki na talaga improvement ng diesel engines over the last decade here in the phils.

sana lang the gov't do somwething sa mga smoke belching diesel users like PUV's and old SUV's na diesel..nakakahilo eh .
