sa States mas mahal ang diesel sa gasoline
Kaya nga di uso diesel dun eh. Mas mahal na nga makina, mas mahal pa yung fuel ano ba yan??

While I support for their cry for lower gas prices. One thing strikes me over what Bayan said. They want government to lower and CONTROL prices. Now thats just a populist stupidity on the part of these militants. If the government controls prices or artificially puts hold on prices no one will sell and that will make the problems even worse. No one wants to sell at a loss, NO ONE!
I hope our govt isnt stupid enough to give in to populist demands.
Magiging Zimbabwe tayo pag nag impose ng price controls ang gobyerno.

Just imagine... oil companies halting oil imports... long lines at gas stations... signs say "OUT OF STOCK"
Trucks run out of fuel... food can't be delivered from producers to markets...
the economy grinds to a halt...
No food deliveries... nothing to buy in the wet markets... supermarket shelves empty...
Total chaos...
U got money but there's nothing to buy...
Inflation soars...
Philippines becomes the Zimbabwe of Asia.

If they are expecting the goverment to control with price subsidies, they should just look whats happening in countries like Malaysia and India. Artificially keeping gas low burdens the national coffers and contributes to the budget deficit. Other goverment services will suffer...
By the way they were not saying SUBSIDIZE they are saying CONTROL. Two totally different animals. Subsidy is ok cause someone is paying for it (that is if the coffers can handle it), CONTROL on the other hand is to force people to sell at a certain price even at a loss...
wahh.. sobrang mahal na ng gas ngayon
kung pde lang patakbuhin sasakyan na hindi umaapak sa gas hay

Pilipinas Shell is set to implement its P1.50 per liter hike in the prices of its diesel, gasoline and kerosene products effective 12:01 a.m. Saturday.
Unioil said that it will implement its increase of P1.50 per liter for all its fuel products at 6 a.m. Saturday.
Unioil in a text message cited the continued increase in the pries of petroleum products in the world market and to partially recover its losses.
Other oil companies are expected to follow the announcements of Pilipinas Shell and Unioil.
Activist youth groups meanwhile stormed the office of Petron Corp. along Buendia Avenue in Makati Friday.
While calling for the scrapping of the Value-Added Tax on petroleum products the demonstrators threw tomatoes at the Petron building and painted slogans on its walls.

It's a good thing that BPI-Petron has this thing called 24-hr price shield. It helps in a little way. But there is no stopping this rising cost of fuel these days....

87 octane unleaded is now up to $3.80/gal at the gas station my wife goes to. That would be P44.12/L. She got a full tank earlier.
