I looked at it a few weeks ago at the dealer. We went to check it out as we wanted to consider it for my sister but walang a/t na variant. I like it though as it has a 1500cc CRDi engine and a FMIC (Front Mount Intercooler)... ala Evo.

saw this matrix diesel in hyundai laguna showroom. the salesperson is not sure if it has the 3-cylinder diesel engine or the newer 4-cylinder diesel engine. if it is the 4-cylinder version, I saw on the internet its fuel consumption is ~5.4liters/100kms or 19.23 kms/liter mixed hiway/city driving. the 3-cylinder version consumes a little bit more about ~16-17kms/liter. pwedeee!

I've ridden in a Matrix before and its pretty well built inside.

The turbo diesel should give it torquey performance.

too bad, diesel fuel natin dito sa pinas ay madumi. there was 1 instance of a matrix owner in Europe (sa Romania yata yun) where they have the same dirty diesel fuel tulad dito sa tin. sabi nya sa post nya, after 23,000 kms fuel injectors malfunction. due daw sa dirty fuel. now when I asked mechanics from hyundai laguna, dirty fuel nga daw kalaban nitong matrix diesel, 10K pesos price in fuel injector pag pinalitan. (well, think again.....)

wow, almost guaranteed pala na palit injectors? will using a biodiesel blend help keep the injectors from fouling up?

There are detergents for injectors that should help clean them and prevent them from clogging up.

when you say "foul up", ibig sabihin e madudumihan(hence cleanable) o masisira(hence kelangan ireplace)?
