It was brought up at FCP, but I don't know if it'll prosper... one of our members has a Caltex franchise...

And therein lies the problem. You're hurting local franchisers, maybe, a little bit, but since the smaller players buy from the big oil cartels in the Middle East and also from the Shell and Petron refineries, your money is still going to the same damn place, and you're not hurting the "big guys" at all.

For me: Buy from the smaller stations because they're cheaper... but don't do it out of any misguided notion that you're "sticking it to the man"... because whether you buy your gas from Petron, Shell, Caltex, Flying V, SeaOil, Total, Jett or whatever, you're still lining the pockets of the Arabian oil shieks.

Better yet... buy something other than gasoline or diesel. Go LPG. Go waste vegetable oil. Go electric. Go commute. By lowering the demand for petroleum products (and not just changing where you buy them), you can lower the price for gasoline and diesel. Already, OPEC is talking about cutting production because prices are in free-fall, and it might actually go below $100 if they don't intervene. (Premium is now just 55 bucks... and falling... diesel has almost hit the 50 mark)

    Ang pagbalik ng comeback...

Rice was never in short supply. It's only the government whose making us think it's in short supply.
