You'd need to get the model of your current spark plug first. Then you'll be able to google the 'colder' version of your current spark plug.

yes it is possible. Just insert the LPG feed tube to an un-used fitting on the carburator.

You'd have to check first the brand and model of the spark plug in use. From there, you'd be able to find its 'colder version'.

Found this on the net for the xtrail:

    Spark Plug Specs
    Standard Type: PLFR5A-11 (Platinum type)
    Hot Type: PLFR4A-11 (Platinum type)
    Cold Type: PLFR6A-11 (Platinum type)
Gap (nominal): 1.1 mm (0.043 in)

what shops have them? I asked several auto shops in pasig they have none.

    1. i've had stalling incidents since december last year usually when its moving. the engine just vibrates during idle. i brought it to greenfuel several times but no improvement. what surprises me is it stalls on specific areas like in pasig rotonda. i nearly had an accident because the steering wheel and brakes lock.
    2. Also, i have been having trouble switching from lpg to gas using the switch button on the lpg fuel meter. once it stalls, i need to switch off the ignition so that it goes back to gas once i switch it on.
    3. the fuel meter's light sometimes turns off.

anyway, these are things i need to do first to isolate the problem:
    1. change lpg refill stations - i always fill up at petron c-5 near valle verde because i have a company petron fleet card
    2. change spark plugs - what is the best spark plug for an xtrail 2.0 and where can i buy? i heard there are cold spark plugs. where do i find them?
    3. i'll probably bring it back to greenfuel for calibration after i change the plugs.

    any more options? thanks!
You might have the self cleaning feature turned on. How are your gasoline injectors? do you drive with gasoline often? If not when the program does a 15 minute gasoline injector clean-up the car will stall. Another thing you could check is the air and fuel mixture on your car.
Your spark plugs could be part of the problem here, but I think you can check calibration first.
If you need further help feel free to contact me.

My A32 was already converted to LPG thanks to Econogas, VogasPlus was installed on my v6, my calculation is around 5.8km/ltr on LPG and 6.2km/ltr on gas. So far no problem if lpg runs out, gas automatically switched on flawlessly without jerk or lag, lpg or gas can be swithed on anytime. It can also start on pure lpg. The ECU was tuned similar to my gas map.

I experienced this also on the first few weeks on LPG mode, what GreenFuel did was changed injector coils and rails to a much bigger coils (BFC). BFC injector coils are more compatible to bigger engines like Innova 2.0. Then came a time of Oily LPG Contamination problem courtesy of Petron Shaw and CleanFuel E. Rodriguez. BTW, I did see how dirty the LPG from these station when GreenFuel technician bleeds the LPG to a white cloth. From there on I only fill up at Total.

My previous stalling problem was when I will come to a full stop like traffic lights and humps, the engine will die. When on idling the engine will shut off after 10-15 minutes. All these problem was corrected by installing BFC coil and switching to Total LPG stations.

    2. Also, i have been having trouble switching from lpg to gas using the switch button on the lpg fuel meter. once it stalls, i need to switch off the ignition so that it goes back to gas once i switch it on.

It would probably be loose cable connector at the back of the Fuel Meter/Switch panel.

What you can do is consume all the LPG in your tank and switch to other LPG refilling station. Of all the LPG refilling stations I only now trust Total LPG since I do not get oily lpg contamination from them since 2009 to present.

    2. change spark plugs - what is the best spark plug for an xtrail 2.0 and where can i buy? i heard there are cold spark plugs. where do i find them?
From 2008 to 2009 I was using the expensive Iridium since Denso copper K20HR-U11 only has colder plug on Iridium (IKH22). Not much gain using colder plugs, and since 2009 up to present I'm back to original copper plugs with no problem.

    3. i'll probably bring it back to greenfuel for calibration after i change the plugs.

Buy your spark plugs from casa (Nissan parts) since your XTrail uses NGK. There are now fake NGK plugs being sold at some Auto Supply.

It is the best option for you to bring it back to GreenFuel.

Let them check your LPG status - Oily LPG Contamination (I believe this is the main problem). Ask the technician to bleed some LPG to a white cloth. If it has oily LPG contamination let them bleed all what is left in the tank and fill up again at Total Shaw (same procedure with mine).

SGI kit in my experience is trouble free but is very critical to oily lpg contamination. If you check your spark plug tip having black residue then you have oily lpg contamination, a normal spark plug burn is whitish to slight brownish.

Fair price would that mean a normal 4 cylinder would cost P40K? Does it has toroidal tank?

for 4 Cylinder the cost is about 52k and I think they have a promo for 48k for torperdo tank. I got a torpedo because I still want to use my spare tire in the same area, then I had the tank covered with sub and amplifier.

You should check first what spark plug is currently in use in your xtrail since normal practice is to go 'one step colder'. You dont want to jump from a PLFR4A-11 to PLFR6A-11.

Since you are in the middle of eliminating possible problems, it might be wise to follow Mile2's advice to get your sparks from the casa to make sure you get genuine ones. At least you'd be sure the issue of the spark plugs will be resolved.

    Good luck.

I was trying to overtake a van last night and to my surprise, my car was having a difficult time overtaking it and to think I was only going at 40 kph. I later realized that my car can barely go past 2500 rpm. I tried it on gas and revved up to 4k rpm and everything was fine. When I switched back to lpg and revved it above 3000 rpm, the engine seems to be limited to below 2200 rpm. The engine sounded as if it was choking or similar to that when you try to flood the carb with gas and it was running rough. What could be the culprit here? My car is a Corolla with a venturi kit.

    Check the following:

-LPG tuning (might be too rich or too lean)
-air filter (might be dirty and clogged)

    What to do:

    -replace air filter
    -retune auto-lpg kit

Thanks GH. Hope this is the only issue.

In my case what i experieced on my GA 15 engine when this thing happen . My mechanic along Mega Saver E . Rodrigues Will tune the LPG KIt .He said that the air is too much . Almost 3month now i observed when he tuned the LPG kit my car become LPG efficient and the acceleration is faster even in uphill no hesitation . Sparkplug and air filter make a good role in order to have a good acceleration .

    Although I don't suggest this...

You can adjust the ignition timing. Advancing it by 5 degrees can get you better performance under LPG. But this can also result in rough running when using gasoline.
