did anyone happen to read the SpyBiz column on PhilStar today? the car in question is supposed to be the most fuel efficient car in the world -- which makes me suspect either the Jazz or the Matrix. The only other clue given is that CKD sya, not CBU.

that being said...pakiramdam ko he was referring to the Jazz; CBU ung Matrix di ba?

What about those 3/4 page ads that says (paraphrase)

"The answer to high fuel prices is here"

It's for the Picanto. And no, the Kia isn't carbed.

Bro sorry to dissapoint you, but piccanto, i've seen one of the brochere of picanto it ses 2+km per lit. but in reality average consumption of picanto is 14 to 15km per lit. still not bad, but there is 7 to 10KM that was missing to their add.

20+ km/l driving *60kph max. which is feasible but not attainable anywhere here in Manila.

The 26 km/L claim is a straight dyno test (i.e., no aircon, constant 60 km/h speed, no air resistance). However I in my experience I have achieved 20 km/L mileage on my M/T Picanto, highway speed (75-80 km/h) with the aircon on, going from Alabang to Tagaytay and back with 3 people on board. Not bad at all!

What do you mean by CBU and CKD?

What "clues" and problems did the writer give? I'm interested with this newspiece since I'm a Hyundai Matrix owner.

    Thanks!

actually me post si sir mazdamazda sa "Honda Quality Control Sucks" thread B) pero in brief, leaking roof, brake lines improperly fastened to car body, off center steering(veers to the right), noisy/squeaky step on the right rear passenger side

CKD - completely knocked down; some assembly required at local plant
CBU - completely built up; ready to run - just add gas
