Yup. That's the one. Although i'm not familiar on the performance of Xtronic CVT. The only car I know who has this is Murano but I haven't drove one yet to comment anything. But as long as it reaches 5 gear AT then it will be an improvement.

Same transmission as used in the Sentra... with the same engine. The MR20DE is supposed to be a torquer, which is good for fuel economy, but not so good for outright performance.

Only issue is this facelifted X-Trail with the MR20 is, from what I saw of it, the rather American-ized interior (in other words... ugly). Have more pics in the thread over there, but obviously, didn't have the time or the opportunity to take very clear photos of the interior.

    Ang pagbalik ng comeback...

Thanks guys sa mga input nyo! We are adding Ford Escape to the mix of choices. Let's leave out the big suvs like fortuner, monty etc., we want a compact suv lang.

Tucson seems to have an edge over the X-trail. How is the FC of the Tucson? Yung ride and drive? I saw a review by ConsumerReport, noisy daw yung engine, how true is this?

Why are they covering the badges ? To hide it's identity ? Ugh, no tint. There's a nissan logo inside ( steering wheel ) ... and the fonts in the word " TEST DRIVE " is Nissan's. So, why hide ?

The styling is also obvious that it's an Xtrail. The electric tapes just trashes up the looks. :bwahaha:

Congrats on your choice! Me on the other hand will wait for the new Xtrail before comparing all compact SUVs. The only left is the new Ford Escape but there doesn't seem any plan to bring it here.

Perhaps you can wait a little longer for the launching of the new Xtrail in June

Am I just the only one who thinks X-TRAIL is by far better than TUCSON in terms of looks? I mean for me it is not even close.

Or am I just too old-fashioned?

Iba iba taste ng tao like, tucson is more on futuristic design while xtrail is more on a manly look similar to hummer, commander, defender, range rover, etc. I think yung all new xtrail is more macho than the previous. TS should wait for this before getting his choice

so far parang mas best buy yung tucson. well siyempre compared sa previous model, ok talaga tong new model. pero for me i'd get the xtrail only because of the so-called legendary aircon (wahaha anong klaseng pag iisip yan xD pero seryoso) tsaka it looks tinier while the new tucson looks bulkier. maganda tucson talaga, i love the interior. technical specs sa paper di ko alam sino lamang pero since gas consumption din is a big factor to consider, tucson nga siguro but mas macho ang xtrail and never naging macho ang tucson (for me) eversince, more on aggressiveness ang stance ng tucson.

Definitely Tucson! Gasoline is expensive nowadays and 2.0 engines are known to be gas guzzlers so the 1.3M diesel Tucson is the best and most practical choice.
