    i mean sagutin nyo lang di dahil personal na gusto mo yung car/brand o di kaya'y yun ang kailangan ng isang tao.

    the locally manufactured car will best benefit our country. and i mean, using parts manufactured here. not CKDs, not semi-CKDs, not CBUs.
    let us not buy imported cars. and certainly let us not buy "alternative-sourced" cars.

    sayang yun sarao, wala e, hindi sila nag-innovate kaya ayun napagiwanan, sayang stick lang kasi talaga sa iisang product, sana pinag-aralan din nila gumawa ng subcompact car, suv, at truck hindi lang dapat puro jeep.

    Onga eh. Another promising local company before was Francisco Motors Corporation with their Anfra AUV. It was a big step forward from the jeepney and is actually pretty durable considering the number of these still running on the streets. If they continued to innovate and improve on that we would have had a very good low cost utility vehicle that we can call our own. But then... natumba rin.

    Some car companies that really do benefit our country are those that have manufacturing plants here like Honda, Mitsubishi, Ford... And they really do make cars that are really good like the CRV from Honda, Lancer EX from Mitsubishi and the Focus from Ford.

    Yung mahirap sa pinas, wala tayong auto parts industry. Majority imported. Di kagaya ng sa thailand, majority ng auto local content, like wire harness, radiators, power window motors, etc. Sa pinas, nagsaraduhan mga local industries dahil sa mga leftist labor unions...

    aside from the leftist union, tamad ang government na suportahan ang sariling atin, our governemnt always says "buy Pinoy", "please buy Filipino made product", "tangkilikin ang sariling atin" etc....pero sila na naman to mismo hindi sumusuporta sa mga local & small-scale industry, pero pag-ma foreigner ayun ay kay bibilis pagbigyan ang mga luho, pero pagsariling kababayan ang babagal. dapat kasi mas mababa ang tax sa mga Filipino businessmen kesa sa mga foreigns IMO, pero, We're thankful na rin sa mga foreign motor manufacturer, they provide hundred of opportunities for our kababayan, dyan sa sta.rosa most of automotive factory/industry dito ang headquarters, like toyota auto parts, toyota motor phil., nissan, ford, honda etc...

    about sa san francisco, sayang din sila, AFAIK yung facilities ngayon ng san francisco motor e gamit ngayon as headquarters ng isang chinese car manufacturer, chery ata o haima if i'm not mistaken. sayang talaga to, nakagawa nga sila ng popemobile, saka matibay rin ang SFM, actually meron ditong jeep samin 25yo. na ata ito e, original sfm engine pa yung nakasalpak (yung sa mazda diesel technology din).
