Definitely it couldn't kill the sales of the cheap 1.1M Montero, pero the difference on everything is really big between the two. Given the budget of 1.5M the least, I would somehow strive more just to afford the Santa Fe if ever it would be priced at around 1.6M

From a standing still, I couldn't gauge how much attention would the Santa Fe get compared to the Montero. I am expecting left and right wow's especially if it is a sleek color such as black.

Actually ang naimagine ko sa picture eh yung CX-7 sa parking sa office. Same color kasi eh hehehe.

yes, yan yung bagong labas, sabi-sabi next year pa yan ilalabas dito, but some of my friends in Korea already saw rolling 2013 Sta.Fe in Seoul, pwede siguro import ka from Korea via Gray Market system

...if I would have some extra cash to spend out for buying a new SUV, I'd take the 2013 Sta.Fe over Montero GLS-V (in manual tranny please) and Isuzu Alterra, performance & technology and features. WISE, one thing I don't like about Hyundai Sta.Fe is its PMS, masakit sa bulsa yung PMS, natural lang naman kasi yun maselan kasi ang CRDi engine e, reading. Pero kung tamang budget lang siguro Alterra na, fuel-efficient, maintenance wise timing gear din ata eto, kaya matibay sa matibay.

for the montero, gusto ko lang yung GLS-V 4x4 M/T. don't like the matic of mitsubishi, me bad experience na ako dyan e.

thrice na kasi e, once is dun sa 01' Lancer Pizza Pie namin noon may leak dun sa A/T pan niya, sceond is dun sa hiniram kong Pajero noon, when I stick it into the "DRIVE" bigla na lang nag-rev ng mataas tapos nagsudden accelaration, buti walang nasalpok at nasaktan, saka yung Spage Gear na sinanla samin noon, sirain din yung A/t tranny, I beleive na malas talaga kami sa mga A/T ng Mitsubishi, kaya since then M/T na lagi kami kung magmimitsubishi vehicle ang pick.
