    Lancer EX GTA ...

reason, it is slightly ahead with better "toys" than the civic 2.0s.

    GT-A.

Ask me the same question 2 years back and probably, i'd pick the Civic. Er. Haha. That's not even connected ...

    Anyways, going back ...

The GT-A has more amenities than the Civic .. things that you would enjoy such as the RockFord Fosgate audio system, 18" rims, rear wing, projector headlamps and the like. Looks-wise, it's a killer on its stock form. Probably one of the best in it's class if not the best. And yeah, at 1.1M it surely is worth it.

To add: Inalis din pala yung half-chrome door handles ng Civic 2.0S-L

Edit: Napapansin ko rin mas maraming brand new Lancer EX GT-A ngayon. Yung mga brand new FD na nakikita ko ngayon puro 1.8S nalang.

Mas mabenta pa nga ata ang Cruze eh..

the lancer ex gt-a is a better looking(in my opinion) plus not too many of them on the road unlike the civic

    Yesterday's Prices (2006 launch)
    2.0S-L A/T 1.102M
    2.0S-L A/T 1.117M (pearl white mica)

    Today's prices (2010)
    2.0S-L A/T 1.115M
    2.0S-L A/T 1.135M (pearl white mica)

They increased the price by around 13K then they started stripping off parts in large portions. What is next?

This model has never been a volume seller for them. Neither is it a halo car. So I'm not sure what purpose does it serve.

From the recent Autofocus display at MOA, I was able to inspect both vehicles (Civic 1.8S and Lancer GTA) closely. I like the build quality of the Civic. I like that its backseats are firm when seated on, unlike the GTA's which is too soft.

Is the GTA still CBU from Japan? If so, it doesn't show in its build quality nor materials. Same observation for the Japan CBU ASX also.

You might as well consider that the CIVIC is about to change model na...by end of 2011 or early 2012 the new body will be launch na. Sabi nga kapag may mga spy pictures na sa web...sooner the launching of the new model na.

You may also want to take a good look at the Ford Focus Diesel - it's in the same price range. I own both the Lancer GT-A (2010) and the Ford Focus Diesel MT (2008) - and both cars are fun to drive. The Lancer has more *** appeal but the Focus drives like a mad stallion - in a race, the Focus wins hands down over the stock Lancer. The Focus feels more stable at high speeds (160-170kph) but the Lancer has more toys (I particularly like the adaptive front lights and what's not to like about the Rockford Fosgate stereo?). The Focus also has much better fuel consumption - I get 8 to 9 km/L in medium to heavy traffic in the city.

Taxis (and other cars) love to bully or outrun the GT-A - be careful, it looks fast but isn't really that fast.

If you're driving most of the time, Mitsubishi Lancer GT-A.. I recommend one with a stickshift, more engaging.

Yeah. Better to wait a little bit more for the Honda Civic. Pero kung buying na, Lancer GTA.

But the review is only valid for the Evo10 and Impreza Sti. It does not apply to the Lancer EX 2.0L

The EVO10 and the Lancer EX 2.0 might look similar but they are two very different cars to drive.
