    MS advantage

    2. Power and torque
    3. Un-ending mods, iwas umay.
    4. More reliable differentials. (personal experience)
    5. High rating in speed and go anywhere category.
    6. All around, pang pamilya, pang chicks, pang sports pang adventure.

    Innova Advantage
    1. Matipid maintenance, kahit same price sa MS GLX, mas maraming kang ritual sa pag car wash and wax pag MS.
    2. Cabin space
    3. FC
    4. Magaan steering, mas driveable, less body roll.
    5. Suited more for family use.
Glenn ako FC ng Montero vs Innova? And PMS cost din

I dunno but I see office vouchers for the Monty Sport service regularly hitting 10k or more. Innova, more or less. Kung sa labas pa magpaservice you can bring it down more.

First 1k km PMS ng Montero ko is 6,300 on FS oil. As per my SA nasa 3k plus na lang daw sa 5k km PMS since top up and change oil filter na lang. Every 20k yata yung mabigat na PMS.

Mas maganda FC ng innova, sa city driving (innoG- 8-11 km/l; MS -6-8 km/l), pero sa mga long drive, halos parehas lang (10-13 km/l).Kung bagong innova bibilhin mo, mas maganda sigurado FC, 4.5yrs old na innova ko, beater car pang palengke etc.

Ang gauge ko, budget ko sa fuel ng innova is P2t every month, sa MS (SE A/T) ay P3.5t every month. 10-25 km daily use (excluding road trips).

If that is the case, don't spend it all for the car alone.

I'd probably get an Innova E (if brand new); or the Isuzu (if you can bear to live with it). How about a pick-up?

My vote goes to Crosswind Sportivo

    last the longest = check
    most fuel efficient = check
guarnateed to last for 10yrs and probably another 20yrs = check

We have an Innova G. No problem so far. I like it better than my in-laws' fortuner.

Isuzu's toughness is proven imo. Sobrang ingay lang. In case yan kunin mo, gamitan mo na lang ng 2t oil or mod mo na lpg o water injection. Meron ata positive effect yun sa emission.

mas maingay ang d4d innova kesa crosswind , nag mumuka mas maingay kasi crosswind tunog truck kasi masyado .

    BTT :

Last the longest and fuel efficient? Isuzu Crosswind! There are those with Crosswind's crossing the 300tkms mark and still going strong. Very practical car to have, if you don't mind the sluggish performance, noisy and smoky engine, and jittery ride that is.

For something more modern, I'd go with the Montero. I find the 1.198M price tag very competitive indeed, especially since it is slugging it out with not just base variant SUVs but also MPVs as well.

Wait a little more for the new Innova, and you'll get the electronic steering equipped car - no need for steering fluid maintenance and it eliminates engine load- no more power steering pump.

Toyota is slowly phasing out the fluid type power steering, this is now the trend in their new models starting now with the new 86, RAV4 and VIOS, then the new ALTIS and CAMRY and in few months the new INNOVA
In contrast, buy now! Avoid electronic steering, dami problems nyan! And pag nasunog motor nyan wala na, babangga ka na. Good bye cruel world na!

power steering fluid assist failure.or electronic steering column assist failure does it makes any difference? Both can be handled even if you lost the assist feature.anyway, its just that you return back to pawis steering mode

Mas madali pa rin maintain fluid steering. Bearing lang katapat mo sa electronic steering.

I suggest you look at other criterias aside from being durable and efficient as all the cars mentioned here will surely last for more than 10 years with the proper maintenance. Look also at comfort, practicality, size, bang for the buck features, etc.

I've driven all before and I would place the montero on the top of the list, next yun innova. I do have a soft spot for the everest so i would suggest you take a look at it as well. I don't find the crosswind easy to drive and my friend who has one rattles too much for me and gets pulled over by ASBU despite his more than usual regular maintenance. OC kasi yun eh.

Thank you all for your inputs. They are all enlightening although I keep changing my choice of vehicle when I read the cons and pros of the recommended vehicles. Lol.
One cannot really expect to find all the qualities he likes in one car alone. I guess it is still the buyer's preference and his expected usage that will count.
