The City, which competes directly with the Vios, feels more upscale. It looks better inside and out, and has more features and space. It's definitely a better car than the Vios, but it's also much more expensive. The VX is priced close to an Altis G. To be fair, most other subcompacts (Accent, Sonic, Mirage G4, Rio, Almera) feel just as much a budget meal as the Vios.

IMHO the City is not at all more upscale than the Vios in general. It just happens that the Vios offers an entry level model at a more attainable price. Never have i heard someone utter "Wow, City" either. And on looks, latest Vios is even better looking than the City for some people. So being a Honda doesnt make the City any better than Vios, even for someone who isnt a Toyota fan such as myself.

totoo naman talaga na wala pang City na ginawang taxi, at Vios meron. City and Vios are competitors in in their category, so normal lang sa mga tao to compare them. And 1 argument is that taxi issue.
Hindi natin control isip ng ibang tao, kung bumili ka ng Vios at sinabi s'yo na pang taxi, nasa s'yo na lang yan ano ang reaction mo.

Ako nga bro before getting my city GM back in july 2013, ang pinag pilian ko was the 3rd gen vios vs. the old aging city GM in the market. Yun Honda city GM pa rin kinuha ko kahit na may bagong labas na vios during that time. It is simply because yun ang gusto ko and not because of the notion that ang vios ay pang taxi.

sir dedmahin mo nalang mga yan... nun college student ako swerteng nabilhan ako ng bnew Vios as service.. lahat halos sa campus naka honda civic hatch/sedan araw-araw yun inaasar nila vios ko pero everytime na may long drive kami as a class/batch laging sablay naman mga honda nila, may overheat, sira yun ilaw, flat yun gulong (expired na kasi), mahina aircon pinakanakakatawa eh lakas daw sa gas haha

so yun mga chix syempre sakin sila sumasabay kasi bnew vios at malamig aircon hahaha


ayun sa awa ng diyos lahat sila ngayon same car parin gamit nila... ako may sariling pick-up na hehehe

Ang habol ko lang sa toyota is yung murang maintenance. saka di ka iiwan sa maintenance. nga pala, i have motorcycle too, not honda, syempre. kasi si honda, grabe, 20k plastic flairings ng honda wave nila? <- anak ng teteng, eh second hand nyan 15k lang eh. platic plastic lang yan eh. garapal talaga honda. ganyan sila mang iwan sa maintenance. walang plastic na napakaliit na prepresyohan mo ng 20k, kalokohan. gumagawa pa sila ng mindset na premium at classy ang honda.

Si city mas mura. isipin nyo naman 1.5 E MT = 760k si vios 1.5 G M/T = 850k. Kitams

For me kapag kotse pinili ng operator na gawing taxi sa fleet nila, at may brand royalty, it's a positive sign for me. Ibig sabihin low maintenance at matibay siya, they won't buy high maintenance vehicles dahil kailangan takbo ito ng takbo para kumita sila.
