Driver's airbag lang po ang meron sa G. Sa V po dual airbags na.

Altis G hands down due to better ride and generally big car feel.

pero if you like value, go Vios G/S

If you go Vios S AT you get HID, dual airbags, 17" mags, power retract mirrors etc for less than an Altis G MT.

Had the same dilemma bout a month ago. We chose and happy with our decision of taking the Vios. Although has less seats, it feels more engineered than the Avanza.

Mine's a 1.3J Vios

Compared to a 1.3J Avanza, the interior of the Vios is better, sound insulation is better, heck! just one look at the sidings and you will see the difference.

Plus the Vios is lighter with its unibody frame, remember that they do have same engine, so the lighter Vios is more economical. Plus it has EPS not available in the Avanza that lessens load on engine.

1.5G Avanza + AT + weight of 7 seats + weight of body on frame chasis and rear drive = gas guzzler

comparable ba ride quality ng Vios G/S sa Altis G? o mas stiffer yung ride ng Vios? may nabasa kasi akong isang blog na stiff daw ang ride quality ng Vios. how true kaya ito?

Yes, mas supple ang ride ng Altis. Medyo jittery yung sa Vios pero tolerable naman, mine's 14 inchers riding on a 65 series tires pa. I think the Altis G will cream the Vios S with its 17" 45 series wheel and tire combo and slightly better than the Vios G.

Never driven an Altis nor a Vios pero nakasakay na ako same 2004 model private car. sa likod ako nakasakay. (lugi naman kasi kung ic-compare ko sa vios na taxi yung nasakyan kong altis hehe)

Sa Altis:
- well feeling ko luxury car rin hehe
- got a bigger car feel
- parang mas nalambutan ako sa seats nung Altis hehe
- malakas talaga ang engine lalo na nung hinarurot nung kaibigan ko hehe

Sa Vios:
- mas stiffer ang feel sa shocks sa likod (or baka sa upuan I don't know)
- smaller and lighter car

i own a 2006 vios.. 1.3e medyo masikip ang likod sa unahan ayos lang.. medyo matagtag nga lang.. sa altis di ko pa alam

Sa Altis, kapag smooth ang kalsada, smooth talaga as in wala kang mararamdaman or maririnig. Pero kung malubak yung daan, hindi siya matagtag, pero medyo mararamdaman mo pa rin yung lubak.

no doubt Altis yan.. pero if you need to sit more than 5.. then Avanza.

p_borj, on the contrary, mas malambot ang shocks ng Vios lalo yung gen2. notice that with 5 passengers, lubog na ang butt ng Vios, wala pang luggage yun.
