What would be the best car to get for a budget of no more than 900k?
Considering the 1.6 above variants to get more interior room. Current car is a city kaya di ko na kinoconsier ang vios or city sa ngayon.

1.6G 2009 Corolla Altis Metallic Silver - Proud Owner
Nice interior and Good Fuel Economy... not like the other 1.8 monster from H....
Go for the Medium Silver or Metallic Silver...

^ Agree with the above posts. Corolla Altis is the most comfortable riding compact sedan amongst those in its class (Tried it myself, the Civic's ride is firm and the seats are hard) Put it together with that economical 1.6L and you got a really good deal.

Will this be another rebadged Daewoo? But judging from the exterior looks, I think it's cool. More American-looking stance than the obvious Korean curves of the Optra

    Honda Civic FD ( 1.8V M/T ;) )

    - seats are harsh ... but tolerable
    - fuel consumption is 8km/l city ;; 11km/l mixed
    - trunk space is big, but the altis' is bigger.

    Toyota Corolla Altis

    - seats are comfy.
    - great trunk space
    - I hate the lump at the middle of the rear seat.
    - 1.6 engine

Verdict ? get the altis ...

But some better choices ? Lancer EX GLX.

This is somewhat better but you really need some money to gas this thing up ...

    FORD FOCUS

At that range i'd look at the Lancer or Civic (i just find the Altis boring since i already drive one) if it were a sedan i'm looking for... although the Nissan Grand Livina with the 1.8L 6-speed m/t will be a serious contender in my books as well.

Kung gagastos ka na din ng 900thou eh mag civic ka na.

Sayang ka lang ng pera pag nag-altis ka.

Maselan pa sa langis ang toyota engine ngayon.

    brand new SUVs under 900k

    -- Chery Tiggo 1.6 M/T * 783k
    -- Chery Tiggo 2.0 A/T * 883k
    -- Suzuki Jimny 1.3 A/T * 805k

between the three, i would go with the Chery Tiggo.

i agree! after using a sedan, upgrading your ride to an SUV is the next best thing if the budget permits.

I am really liking the altis now for it's ride comfort based on feedback. Trying to see if makakatest drive next week.

Regarding sa factor ng facelift, the civic being launched in 2006 is going to get facelifted in 2011? The altis is from 2008 lang so it would probably stay the same thru the next 2 or so years.

Ford focus tdci is a bit too much. Will do a bit of research on the Grand Livina too.

sa mga nagcomment sa Lancer EX GLX, in what category is it better than the 1.6G Altis or the 1.8V Civic? At this price I can actually already get an AT. For the civic, are the paddle shifters available on the 1.8V civic AT?
I actually really like the look of the Lancer but it is a lot pricier.
