What is your maximum budget and minimum acceptable car?

    (example: P800,000 and Vios 1.3L)

    Obvious alternatives:

    Honda City 1.5L E A/T
    Honda Jazz 1.5L V A/T
    Toyota Yaris 1.5L G A/T
    Suzuki Swift 1.5L A/T
    Mitsubishi Lancer 1.6L GLS A/T

    Suzuki offers poor aftersales service.

The Jazz and Yaris offers the flexibility of a hatchback.

Lancer is a bigger car but its also the older body style.

The City is a sedan with big roomy interior inspite of it's small size.

The 1.5E of the city is way out of the budget of the TS since I think it's priced around 800k already. Compared to the vios' 750+k.

Correct me if I`m wrong tho'. But that's what I can remember.

    The 1.3S fits the budget.

Yes sir GH is right. Interior space is roomier and atleast the instrument panel is in place.

I also do find the city's interior plastics MORE intact than the vios.

I would also consider the Yaris as well, same as a Vios 1.5G but cheaper.

dapat ba AT? suggest ko sana is yung Hyundai Accent na CRDi. Mukhang pasok pa sa budget mo. Pero di ako sure kung may AT sya. you get the best fuel efficiency here, malaki pa ang interiors.

another option is the Kia Rio. May AT ata ito.

third option ko lang ang vios, if i am in your shoes. tapos jazz.

ok sana kung meron pang Getz na 1.4 AT na lumalabas ngayon, pero wala na ata.

Kung Vios 1.5G and City 1.3S lang strictly, I will get the former without hesitation! 200cc parin yan! ANd their fuel economy wouldn't make a difference! And I don't like Honda's lack of low end torque, I like the 1NZ's torque over low revs, very useful in city driving!

Tama si Water gagastos ka lang din gandahan mo na.

Kung ayaw mo porma ng jazz go for the city.

Kung hindi importante image sayo ng oto at porma, sa vios ka na lang para mas mura

    Which is better?

    Vios 1.5G A/T
    Pros:
    - Bigger displacement (1.5L)
    - Rear Disk Brakes
    - Optitron Guages
    - Power folding mirrors
    - Front Foglamps

    Cons:
    - Higher fuel consumption?
    - 4 speed A/T only
    - older model (Toyota launched the Vios 2007)
    - no iPod connection but has 6 speakers

    City 1.3S A/T
    Pros:
    - Newer model / design
    - 5 speed A/T
    - Flex Audio System
    - Bigger trunk space
    - more fuel efficient?
    - Telescopic steering wheel adjustment

    Cons:
    - Smaller displacement
    - No foglamps
    - rear drum brakes

    * sa mga tao dyan pareho lang ba sila ng efficiency sa fuel? wala kasing nasagot eh hehe

    * and hindi ba halos nagkakalayo ng price?

mas lamang sakin yung honda city in terms of porma now gusto ko malaman kung mas tipid sa gas tong 1.3s?

    HYUNDAI ACCENT

    very practical and economical.

    torque,horsepower,fuel economy.

diesel engine but runs better than gasoline-fed cars.

try to compare it from other cars.do test drive for u to compare.

i think 20km, per liter. ganun siya ka economical.

ano po yung PMS? sorry, wala ako masyadong idea pagdating sa mga ganitong bagay. planning to buy a brand new car as well and same with the one who started this thread, i'm choosing between vios 1.5G and city 1.3S. pero ako, parang i'm leaning towards vios na. halos same lang ang price nila pero kung icocompare mo ang specs, mas ok ang features ng vios 1.5 kesa sa city 1.3. diba guys?
