ever considered the AE111 corolla XL? feature-wise it's not even in the same league as the Vios/city, pero mas malaki ng kaunti ung interior space

To me, the interior is important kasi its what you'll be seeing/using most of the time so i'll go with the City.. exterior may be fixed with ground effects and larger rims..

The Honda City has a very stiff suspension. The weird thing is whenever I ride or drive our City for a long distance (like across metro manila), I get car sick. Dunno why because I dont get car sick in any other car that I have tried.

to make it more interesting, i'll specify the options i have to choose from:

    VIOS: 1.5G M/T

    CITY: 1.3 A/T CVT

I got already got quotes for both (price difference is Php2k between the two), hafta decide by tomorrow to avail of the discounts before price increase on April 1 for Toyota & Honda.

    So what's it guys..

pards.......for me overall value, sa CITY ka na. lalo na A/T CVT. Interior is far more great compared sa vios. every 6 mos or 10k lang ang regular preventive maintenance meaning you save a lot sa maintenance in a year. Fuel mileage is very good on the City. Looks naman is subjective. Lots of other amenities. PLUS, PLUS you get Full Safety features. Sa vios wala. Looks, generally is what is going for the vios but that alone wont convince me to get it. Good luck on your choice and I hope you make the right choice.

I suggest you look into the Toyota VIOS 1.5 a/t especially if the area where you drive the most is clogged with traffic.

Look at the car itself and not at the accesories the casa will give you. You will be living with the same car probably for the next 4 to 10 years.

BTW, the City 1.3 CVT 7-speed is NOT as great as Honda promotes it to be. In fact you'll probably not be using it after a week or so of driving a City CVT. In fact, with our City, I was toying with it only during one trip and never fiddled with it again.

i test drove the city cvt... one thing i can say... maganda interior.. but unfortunately... it lacks... really lacks power... even at 7-speed mode... wala... hohum.....

test drove the manual.. pwede pa.. for city driving.. but the older City feels more powerful than the new one...

in terms of interior space, color choices and interior color combination, the city is better. But performance, cost of ownership and exterior looks, the vios is your choice. Just don't get silver since its seems to be the most common. should have gotten subtle gold or black instead.

ford lynx gsi or chevy optra! mas malaki, mas malakas at mas konti pa sa daan. hehe

pero seriously, i'd personally get the vios. lalo na kung yung 1.5 ang pinaguusapan. good luck!
