June 11th, 2003 10:04 PM #23VIOS 1.5 liter 1NZ-FE
Uses timing chain (much tougher that belts)
Shim type rocker arm (less adjustment compare sa conventional)
Mahirap din parts ng VVT-i 1.5, pero ngayon kung magiging hit ang VIOS, for sure dadami yan.
The thing about CITY is kung magkaproblema, for sure hindi ganoon kaalam ng mga mechanic yan sa CASA, And In my experince ang hirap magcliam ng warranty sa HONDA lalo na pag mahal ang sira, I guess that "Three year warranty" is crap!

June 12th, 2003 11:18 AM #24gimik din lang yun 3 yr warranty na yan eh. mukhang ok sa unang tingin pero actually tinatali kang magpaservice sa kanila for 3 yrs instead of the usual 2. otherwise mavovoid ang warranty kung once ka lang magpaservice sa labas. as if naman madaling magclaim in the 1st place.

personal choice ... vios.
feature-wise, lamang ang city, especially when it comes to the felxibility of the interior. iDSI is a good engine ... for city driving, which, in my personal opinion is what the honda city was really made for. mugen may be able to do something about the city's personality ...
but hey TRD also makes parts for the vios.
check also the price, it might prove better to get the cheapest 'rolla altis (1.6E?) if it's priced a couple of Ks higher than the vios, you'll get a lot more car.

yah..cost for the altis 1.6 J A/T is 736K , just 59k more from high end vios...you have a good point on that and i think this price is still base on the current tax scheme, if the new tax will be applied assuming the vios price is already base on the new tax scheme the difference would even be smaller.

June 12th, 2003 04:52 PM #29if u upgrade to an altis might as well make it at least an E. otherwise, i think u'd be better off with the vios 1.5G considering its features.
