That's my observation too. Just compare the interior of this Vios (J) to City (A). Cheap talaga ang dating... designed for taxi use.

the only thing i hate about vios is the fact that it's being used as a taxi. I only hope this will not happen to the new vios.

sorry to disappoint you but I already saw one already prowling at Rizal Ave. ext., a few weeks ago. It was repainted white.

yep..saw a couple of new vios taxis here in Pasig.. mukhang common na to.. pakyaw na naman ng taxi operators..

hirap lang is nawawala feeling of exclusivity.. though nothing bad with having taxi drivers as your members ng vios club .. mas maraming experiences yan eh.. at matibay talaga kasi toyota..

only upside to it is. you won't have a problem with supply of parts (surplus, oem, replacement, original). of course, more vios units out there, the parts manufacturers would fill that demand.

the interior but city owner never complain bout the exterior n enjoying
the interior of city. Coz u are the one sitting inside the car but not

City, but if you don't like/can't live with the looks go for the Vios, but if you cant live with the fact that half of the Vios out there are used as Taxis wait for the NEXT Honda City. If your going top of the line City but wants to be different and cant wait for the next City, then you might want to look at the Suzuki SX4 (which was featured in ABS-CBN's tele-dramas lateley)

Hi, I’ve been reading this thread ever since I became a member of tsikot. I’ve been planning to get my very first car that’s why I made a lot of research and I found this thread very informational. After a few months, I finally decided to get a Honda city. Last September 1, I got a 2008 nighthawk black Honda City 1.3S CVT. I’m only 22 and hindi pa gaano familiar sa kotse kaya sana matulungan nio ako. Gusto ko magpalit ng mags so I went to Banawe yesterday at nagtanong-tanong. 35k for the mags and 16k for the set of tires. They told me I can trade-in my stock mags and tires and the appraised value is only 12k. diba masyado mura un considering na 1 week pa lng kotse ko? Mga sir, I need advise. Nagpafull tank agad ako paglabas then now, ¼ nlng ang gas gauge and my odo only reads 209km. Normal lng ba un pag bago? Btw, shell e10 po ang pinakarga ko since un P150 gas coupon from Honda Shaw ay for e10 lang raw sabi ng gasoline boy. I’d appreciate your advise mga sir, salamat!

Sobrang mura yang 12k. If you check the current pricing of new tires, yun 12k, set of brand new tires lang yan wala pang mags. E.. 5 pcs pa naman yan tires imo including spare with mags. At ska, almost brand new pa naman yan.

Regarding sa fuel consumption mo, medyo di pa tama yung mga reference data mo to conclude its consumption.

VIOS 1.5 liter 1NZ-FE
Uses timing chain (much tougher that belts)
Shim type rocker arm (less adjustment compare sa conventional)
Mahirap din parts ng VVT-i 1.5, pero ngayon kung magiging hit ang VIOS, for sure dadami yan.

The thing about CITY is kung magkaproblema, for sure hindi ganoon kaalam ng mga mechanic yan sa CASA, And In my experince ang hirap magcliam ng warranty sa HONDA lalo na pag mahal ang sira, I guess that "Three year warranty" is crap!

gimik din lang yun 3 yr warranty na yan eh. mukhang ok sa unang tingin pero actually tinatali kang magpaservice sa kanila for 3 yrs instead of the usual 2. otherwise mavovoid ang warranty kung once ka lang magpaservice sa labas. as if naman madaling magclaim in the 1st place.
