VIOS has better design and shape of the body. Rather than the City.

The Vios is an epitome that you don't need a lot of cash to get a good-looking car. This reason alone will discourage someone from buying the far-from-handsome City. The interior says a different story though. The center gauges of the Vios takes some getting used to and the entire dash looks bland and rather cheap. The City's feels expensive. All the controls are nicely placed. Also, there is more passenger and cargo space. However, since this car is rather tall, it loses the sportiness its anonymous predecessor used to have. The Vios beats it in this aspect.

So like I said, both have advantages and disadvantages. While the Altis is the clear victor against the Civic and the Accord seems to better the Camry, there's no outright winner in this particular category in the Toyota-Honda rivalry.

As a personal choice, I'd pick the Vios overall. The Jazz may be an alternative to the City's rather controversial design, but if you plan to buy a hatch, I suggest you wait for the upcoming Echo and decide from there.

Ill go for VIOS. Tried and tested ko na ang engine ng TOYOTA for the past 12 years.

IMHO.

had the chance to drive a city just this afternoon courtesy of an old "friend" who showed up.

    Vios for me.

    Corbon44,

i like the honda city, 1.5 vtec to be exact because it has 10k pms, ultra seats, 7 speed steermatic, cvt transmission, electric power steering, rim 15, abs, ebd, brake assist, solid rear disk brakes, dual airbags, seatbelt pretensioners with load limiters. the vios doesn't have that features except for driver airbags and abs.
