Revo na gas? Hmm. Based on experience, malakas siya kumain ng gas. Pero kung kaya ng budget ang diesel, mas maganda sana.

November 11th, 2011 12:19 AM #13Yung SR na gas engine is a 94hp 1.8L 8V unit. This means it lacks power. Hell the 1.4L Kia Rio's engine makes 94hp. And since its heavy, it also means horrid fuel consumption. The VX200 uses a 105hp 2.0L 8V unit. This one's actually rather torquey and achieves peak power in low rpm, so acceleration should be fair enough. But still, its a weak 2.0L gasoline engine which means gas consumption ain't very good either. If you're getting the gas, might as well get the Adventure whose 4G63 is a much better performer.
So, diesel talaga sana. The gas mileage is much better.

Revo, just pick only from GLX, GSX, SR (Sport Runner) or VX variant (if GLX, get the one which has a body cladding para SR, VX look-alike, and it's more brawnerlook of an entry-level revo) halos parehas na lang ang resale price ngayon niyan sa market, avoid DLX and GL, walang power-mirrors at boring ang cabin, saka yun DLX walang tachometer and some GL variant don't have foglights.BTW stay away from automatic tranny Revo.
we have a Revo GL 1.8efi M/T. it's maintenance wise (timing chain e), malamig ang aircon (malamig naman talaga ang aircon hehehe!!!, malakas din aircon i mean), pangit lang pang city driving (traffic driving condition) malakas sa gazzzzz., bit high ground clearance kaya pwedeng ilusong-lusong sa baha (wag naman yung napakataas na baha, yung tama lang).Power, ok lang kahit 89hp lang siya, kaya naman sumabay sa takbuhan on the expressways e,

November 11th, 2011 05:50 PM #16Yes, I remember once we had a family friend who owns a Revo GLX 1.8EFI A/T. Sabay kaming bumaba from Baguio City. Kaya rin naman pala bumilis kapag todong flogging na talaga. Di ko lang nga alam gaano karami ininom na gasolina noon.
*TS: Magkano yung budget mo? Diesel Revo's have relatively high resale values. Around 300k for the 1st generation GLX.

Meron akong 2004 2.0EFi A/T na Revo. Mabilis sa mabilis. Tested at 150kph along SLEX, may ibubuga pa.
Malamig ang aircon ( well maintained naman kasi ) madaling dalhin pero medyo matagtag yung 3rd row.
And malakas sa gas, obviously. Pero kaya ko naman.
Anyways going back, Revo ako.

November 23rd, 2011 04:53 PM #19Ang number one advantage ng revo over the adventure ay roomier interior which is convertible into a more comfortable ride. That's why I have chosen to buy a second hand revo (eto lang kaya ng budget) over a 2nd hand adventure. Pag pipili ka ng revo, choose the SR or VX 200 Variants, all power mga yan at very elegant ang inetrior. Yung SR, you can choose either the 1.8 EFI or the 2.0 EFI engines, or the Diesel Engine. I have read from other threads that the Gas Version of Adventure has FC ranging from 4 km/L to 6 km/L which is far worse than the FC of Revo gas engines. Mine is a 2.0 gas revo engine making more or less 7.0 km/liter on city driving. In terms of power, talo daw sya ng specifications na nasa papel but in terms of actual performance, napakalakas nya humatak at mabilis sya, at 110 sa Coastal (short expressway lang kasi coastal) napakatahimik ng engine nya, not to mention A/T ang nabili ko.
