Pareho bang 2E ang engine ng Bigbody XL and XE?I'm driving a 97 XL nung ginamit ko yung 94 XE ng bayaw ko pansin ko iba ang tunog ng makina parang hindi carb.

Hi,

My everyday car is a '94 Corolla XE.

Yung guess ko talaga na konsumo ko was 9 km/liter city driving
and maybe 10 km/liter if I drive with the A/C off kapag gabi.
Reading what you have posted here confirms my guess, sigh.
Maliit makina niya, pero halos same consumption sa CRV ng dad ko which is 8 km/liter.

Tomorrow I'll have my XE tune-up, I'm hoping na ma-improve ko yung consumption niya.
Mabigat kasi sakin yung consumption at the moment, parang gusto ko nang mag 2-wheels uli.

Dati nung erpats ko pa nagfifill ng gas para sa kotse no problem,
pero ngayong ako na ang nagbabayad sa sarili kong pera ibang-iba na.

DOHC po ba ang corolla 93-97? o AE101 kung tawagin? is it 4A-FE? tnx guys

Mga sir. I am just curious. I want to buy a second hand Corolla. I just noticed that the Corolla logo in front is not the ordinary logo here. Its a C symbol. Pardon me if its a stupid question. Merong nagbebenta sa amin na 1995 gli, P170k. Mahal ba ito o tama lang ang price? Kung sakaling tatawad ako, ano kaya ang reasonable na price.

Di ko pa nakikita, at di ko rin alam ang kalakaran ng presyo.

At concerned din ako sa gas consumption. Ang mga latest toyota ba ngayon ano ang konsumo ng gas?

I just want to ask kung ano po ung makina ng 1.6 GLi na corolla? kung SOHC po ba xa sa pinas o DOHC? according to wiki kung 4A-FE ang engine ng corolla d2 eh DOHC siya, but according to a friend of mine eh SOHC lng daw please reply po salamat po

Mura yan baka may problema. 130-140k ata bentahan ng XE.

Merong XE na AE92 na nasa 100k or lower ang bentahan. Pag AE101 malabo sa 100k unless laspag na laspag.

XL Lahat mano mano. No power steering windows and lock. Carb engine.

XE power steering lang carb pa rin.

Ang alam ko later on naging power steering na yung XL, tapos yung XE all power na at naka mags, naging parang GLI na rin sya but with 1.3 carb engine instead.

i'll go with the 97 gli AT. Or kung kaya strecth ng konti, lovelife GLi na.

i like the gli.. it's the newest, and its efi.. at marami pang gumugulong sa daan.. mas madali pa sigurong makahanap ng piyesa.. and since it's efi, less things to need servicing regularly..
the honda, its body doesn't excite me..

May mga friends kasi ako na they keep on suggesting to get manual since efficient daw and mas hindi sirain, may mga facts ba to support those things? Thanks!

please go there, and you will get a lot of things to think about.
but the bottom line is and always has been, "it's a personal choice".
what do i have? i have both. and many times, my choice on what to use rests on what is easier to get out of the garage that day.
