Im bias, I'd choose esi...maybe because I used to drive one for many years ..hehehehe
AFAIK, in terms of gas consumption, since LX is 1.5 while ESI is 1.6, one can assume mas matipid LX. Pero if you consider that LX is carb while ESI is EFI, that might offset the initial advantage of LX.
mas mabilis ang esi and fuel wise, better mileage ang esi compare to lxi.
Go for the ESI. At least it is already equipped with standard Honda Power steering, power windows, power sidemirrors, and power antenna. Plus you get a 14" Esi mags versus the 13".

Nope... more like 105 lxi - 110 esi... yung JDM lang na 1.5 yung 130hp.
Ang pagbalik ng comeback...
AFAIK, Wala pong Civic Lxi na 95 model.. baka po Civic Lx lang sya. Civic Lxi started 1996.
Wait... my bad... 125 claimed hp nga ang 1.6 ng ES. Sorry.
Between 90-102 hp yung 1.5... not sure which one we got, as the 102 hp version is listed as PGM-FI, while I recall my cousin's 95' 1.5 as being carburated. But they're both listed as D15B7... Honda lovers, help? Is the PGM-FI system still carb dependent? The PGM-FI D16s I've seen don't seem to be.

PGM-FI is fuel injected. Honda Civic 93-95 LX is carb while Civic LXi 96-UP is fuel injected. i = injected and it has 110 hp as according to the promotional papers while the 1.6 Vti has 125HP, I'm not so sure if the Esi 1.6 has the same HP.
Going back to the topic, If both cars are 1995 models .. I'd go for ESI.
correction sir. 1.5L Lxi has rating of 106hp*6400rpm whilst the 1.6L VTi has 127hp*6400rpmOriginally Posted by wrcastro_ph
as for the ESi, it has 117hp.
i'd go for the ESi. it has the ass-kicking look compared to the EK.![]()
The EG Civic ESI is still the car to get. I own both cars and I never liked anything about the EK Civic when comparing it to the ESI. The EK is a victim of cost-cutting measures by Honda, which I read about in my college accounting textbook a few years ago. Notice the EK Civic does not have the hydraulic pumps for the trunks, that's one of them that got axed in the EK.
