    Hi

I can only comment on the Gen. 3 RAV4 which I had for almost 14 years.

    1. Fuel consumption 7 to 9 kilometers per liter, mixed city and highway driving.

    2. Fairly reliable as long as well maintained. Minsan lang ako nagka problema, nakalimutan ko 4 yrs na pala yung battery hindi ko napalitan kaagad.

    3. Suspension parts, aircon cleaning, gasket leaks, normal after 14 years of usage. No major issues for me.

Hope this helps you compare with same year CRV.

    Good luck in your choice!

rav4 will last longer with the newer engine. dual injection technology will prevent any carbon buildup on the intake valves. aisin fwd 8sp is good with the lastest tuning.

Naalala ko pala, if you get the Rav4 ( any generation), palinis mo kaagad yung throttle body. Mabilis mag accumulate ng dumi, lalo na yung MAF Sensors.

Kaya pala Master SE? So this issue has been around for a while and is prevalent in other Toyo models as well?

Sounds like a simple soft rubber gasket would be a good idea.

Both a very good vehicle. But most mechanics i talked to would say if u want a vehicle without any headaches then get the Toyota Rav4.

    the toyota reputation wins again.

    or,
siguro, mas malaki ang chansang sa banawe dinadala si ravvy, while sa casa dinadala si crv.
    ...more income for the mechanics.
    heh heh.

    says who?

I had a 2004 CRV and never had any problem. Rav 4 sold more vehicles outside pick up Trucks in the U.S every year for the last 3 years. Andd been a top 3 every year for so long. Maybe there was a reason for it? like very reliable vehicle? There were datas that says Rav4 is a better and more reliable. let me see your data that says most mechanics DONT have experience with both rav4 and crv.

a proven reputation. My honda civic fd had so many headaches and very expensive to maintain. So he had to go.
