I'm due for a car plan sa office budget 1.2M
Ano mas magandang bilhin na pangbaha... lagi kasing baha sa office namin eh.
Suggestion Pro's and Con's. Kung pwede sana A/T kung pasok sa budget.

i would go for an SUV..... masyadong malaki ang pickups for daily drive...... di pa ganung kaganda ang ride pag hindi puno.

I'll go with 4x2 diesel mid-sized suvs. Aside from being more practical as a people carrier, it is also easier to drive and park compared to a pickup due to its shorter length.
This is on the assumption that :
- your company allows the employee to cash out if unit price is higher than 1.2M
- you have the capacity or is willing to cash out
- most of the time the suv's third row is more than enough for your cargo needs versus a pick-up's bed
My personal choice is the Isuzu MU-X because of looks, although it might be more practical to choose the Mitsubishi Montero Sport because of big discounts (I am hearing 100K+), ample supply (earlier delivery of unit), and no DI.
i have fortuner, strada and montero.
sa comfort go for montero
sa tipid sa diesel at mabilis go for strada (pick up) mas lighter kasi sya sa suv
sa porma, mas maangas kasi pick up.
executive look = SUV

Hindi kasi pwedeng magdagdag kahit kaya kong magdagdag company policy.
I'm looking sana nga sa montero pasok ba sa 1.2M kung A/T.
FC wise ok ba sya?

ford ranger maganda pick up, maganda din sa baha. wag lang sobra taas ng tubig baha. maporma na baka pasok din sa budget mo yan..
Like I said in previous threads, unless you have a use for the bed, don't get a pickup.
Unnecessary length, unnecessary turning radius, no trunk, unnecessary bumpy ride.
Di ako kukuha ng pickup uli kung mostly metro driving lang. Sobrang mas maginhawa magdrive ng sedan or CUV, kahit nga pickup based SUV mas ok kasi at least softer ride, smaller turning radius, easy to park.
I don't like the Montero because of the floaty ride, but it's very practical if you have a family and want something that's basically a jack of all trades.
Personally I'd get an ASX or Mz3 2.0, kung talagang bawal magdagdag. Kung pwede, CX5 na.
Lipat ka nalang ng work bro. Lol. Kidding aside, yan din ang dilemma ko. Taga marikina ako so alam naman na bahain dun. I considered fortuner, montero, trailblazer pero i ended up with strada which I got last month. I am still single so ok lang na di pangmaramihan kinuha ko. Ok siya sa out of town kasi madaming cases ng beer malalagay sa likod. Hehe. I would agree with Jut, if you dont have a need for the bed, get an SUV instead

I really don't know why with the affordability of diesel SUVs now (or at least the approvability from loans ), people are still buying pickups.
I mean it costs the same when it comes to maintenance, tire cost etc, and you get less real estate while driving say on a vacation (your family is all cramped in the front). Plus, it's even so hard to load things at the back because of higher ground clearance not to mention it's unprotected from rains and theft
So I figure, what's really up with these people buying those 4x4 pickups. I used to have one too.
And so I went back the day I bought my first pickup (it was my first brand new car btw)
That time, I had self esteem problems. I needed a macho car in the likes of Chuck Norris' Invasion USA or MJ Fox Back to the future bad ass pickups.
So yun Lang yun and I endured 8 years of so hard to maneuver big tired pickup because of that mentality.
And so if to compare now. When most pickup buyers now are almost simultaneously sporting black-rimmed AT tires as soon as their pickup is released from casa, malamang yun na talaga
reason,
I mean who can resist in their mind the macho form factor of a Ford Raptor in a modified or blinged Ford Ranger. I do normal runs in Sierra Madre 3 times a week with an old CUV, and i rarely see these propped up 4x4 pickups up there, WTH are they spending all those mods for just to drive in the city lol
