February 20th, 2014 02:36 AM #1Guys need your help...as stated above we need 2 cars(used) with a total budget of 800k.
Current plan is to have a hatchback(ie jazz/swift etc) and a CUV(or sedan).
Requirements:
1) Fuel efficiency
2) Maintainance
3) no taxi (therefore vios/altis/accent is out)
Which 2 cars would you pick? Am currently leaning for a 2009+ jazz + Rav4...

For the budget, Jazz and Xtrail. Rav4 malakas sa gas. Jazz is the most practical of the bunch.

February 20th, 2014 09:38 PM #10Honestly, a car that is widely used as a taxi is actually a guarantee of excellent reliability and fuel efficiency.
That being said, there is really no gas-powered CUV that is actually fuel efficient, since they have engines that are at least 2.0L and above. Among the more fuel efficient ones is the 2.3L Escape. A 2007-2008 model and a 2009 Jazz both sell at 400k thereabouts.
I'd also suggest you consider the possibility of getting the much more fuel efficient 1st gen Tucson CRDi plus an older Jazz as well.
If that's the case, then hindi rin pala lahat ng nakaka-afford sa kanila ay hindi frugal mag-isip...
