Guys need your help...as stated above we need 2 cars(used) with a total budget of 800k.
Current plan is to have a hatchback(ie jazz/swift etc) and a CUV(or sedan).

    Requirements:
    1) Fuel efficiency
    2) Maintainance
    3) no taxi (therefore vios/altis/accent is out)

Which 2 cars would you pick? Am currently leaning for a 2009+ jazz + Rav4...

For the budget, Jazz and Xtrail. Rav4 malakas sa gas. Jazz is the most practical of the bunch.

That's not a bad idea. GQ's usually run for 350-450 these days and these vehicles will last you through the zombie apocalypse provided you maintain them well.

    07-up Yaris/Mazda 2 and an 07-up Xtrail/07 CRV (gen3)

Yaris or Mazda 2 because this 2 cars are under the radar in its class. Not the most sought after so resale are kinda low. Mazda is very fuel efficient because of its low curb weight and the Yaris is everything a Vios is sans the trunk. The Mazda as always is more fun though.

Xtrail 200 is fwd and fuel efficient for a CUV. The CRV is fuel efficient and rides way better than the gen2 CRV.

For me, either combo is no-brainer for 800k.

Mazda 3/Sentra/Focus + Xtrail/Escape/Tribute. Go for the brands with low resale values.

Down for two Mirages. One hatchback and one mini sedan.
