I'm planning to get an alternate car. I currently have a 2012 hyunai accent. I know these cars are in different class, but what would you suggest as a second car for me. I'm just 23 years old. I really want the toyota 86 but i think a bigger car would be better for a second car. Right now, My first option is the forester since it's spacious, good handling, good ground clearance and I really want to have a subaru. my budget right now is more or less 1.5m.

Considering the roads and occasional flooding, Subaru Forester. Have you also considered the Mazda CX-5?

Btw, my girlfriend and I has already one kid. 2 years old. and we're planning to get married maybe after 3-4 years from now. I can extend my budget for the brz but only if I could wait next year.

Haha, tsaka na yung next kid. How about the trailblazer? It has a powerful engine. Okay ba siya? Kung forester 2.0 i-L vs 4x2 trailblazer 2.8 at? Which has better looks and performance?

I don't like the looks of the cr-z. My top choice if I'll be getting a sports car is 86 or brz. Btw malayo ba difference ng DP ng 86 and brz and their monthly?

Trailblazer for a more go-to-anywhere ride versus the capable Forester.

I don't want to sound rude, but you already have a kid and you should start changing your priorities or to be exact car preference. You say you already have an accent and I bet you with a 2 year old kid, a stroller, diaper bags would eat up most of your trunk space plus the fact that you would need a yaya. Ditch about owning the 86 and BRZ and really consider looking at bigger vehicles that is more suitable for a start up family. So its either the Forrester or the Trailblazer.

Since you already have an Accent, and I assume that this is your daily car, I suggest you get something bigger for a second car. Any of the two (forester and trailblazer) would do. You just have to weight if you would want something that is really fun to drive with decent space for a family of 3 (forester) or you need the extra space and the frugality of diesel, plus the imposing presence on the streets (trailblazer).

I also have a 2 year old kid, and I currently drive a CUV. Given our occassional out-of-town trips to the inlaws in the province, we load up the car with lots of ours and baby stuff such as large bags, large pillows, bottle and milk containers, sterilizers, etc. (we rarely use strollers). The space for me is enough, but given a chance, I would still like to have something bigger such as a 7 seater for the extra space.

How about you sell the Accent and buy both? Just kidding lol. :D

Since you already have your accent, might as well get the more spacious Trailblazer, having a toddler around has its downsides, the extra passenger called the yaya, the extra baggage that is call baby stuff, the extra space where you can change diapers or space to where your little one sleeps in and the extra indoor car entertainment you can install on your headrests to keep her busy when your doing a road trip.

i have a trailblazer 4x2 a/t and used to own the previous gen forester 2.0 but have driven the new forester 2.0 and xt and honestly between the two they're both great cars. forester handles much much better compared to the trailblazer but the tbz is faster because of it's torquey engine. space wise i'd still give it to the forester especially luggage space. features i'd say they're about the same. off road capability, they're both pretty capable, the forester has more traction off road than the tbz because of it's awd system but the tbz has more ground clearance than the forester. ride and safety no contest there, subaru wins this one. bottomline i'd go with the forester on this one. the only reason i got a tbz is because pang bugbugan/work ko siya i have my explorer when i'm with my family and the brz naman for fun. if i didn't have the explorer i would've gotten a forester instead of the tbz.

If i were you, ill get the forester. It looks sporty and fit for your age, plus you said you like to own a subaru. You'll get what you want and would certainly meet your need as i see it. But that's just me...

Thank you for the information. Well, I think Trailblazer wins this one for me. The additional seats is very useful for us since my partner and I usually goes out of town whenever I don't have a flight, and sometimes we go out together with our friends, so a 7 seater suv is perfect. Now, I'm thinking w/c should I get, the 4x4 LTZ or the 4x2 and I'll just change it's rims to 20's, because I don't like the looks of the 4x2 tbz wheels.

And btw, does any of you have idea when the new ford everest will come out?
