although i've heard something from a legacy owner na matibay naman daw parts ng subaru kaya ok lang daw. out na talaga siguro ang practicality kapag bumili ng subaru cars.

will it change kung matuloy yung outlet nila sa greenhills?

nakakita na me ng engine bay ng subaru, at yun yung first time na naligaw ako sa setup ng makina. exactly as you said, horizontally opposed engine, AWD w/ turbo, hehehe.. hypothetical question lang ha, saan ba meron marunong mag-handle ng ganun engine kung sakaling may masira.

nakow...very messy nga ang engine bay ng Subarus...nakakahilo.
Columbian Motors (ba yun?) used to import Legacies here before... why not ask them?

also, GM Autoworld sold Foresters or another is wait for motor image to open up in June (daw).

how about an impreza? yung parts nya at services yung main consideration. given yung mga opinion nyo, sakit sa ulo lang yun di ba? the risk is not tolerable.

I drive a 2004 Forester. Agree with above quote. Additional advantages: comfortable ride, safety, durable parts, exhaust note (love the sound when I floor it, not as deep as a V8 though). My gas consumption 10 km/L (hataw, traffic, mountain driving/ baguio) - 12 km/L (easy driving <100km/hr). Big disadv: parts availability and price. Sa GM ako nagpapaservice. They also service Legacy & Impreza. I'm also awaiting Motor Image.

Not sure about the new ones but Nissan and Subaru were both under Fuji Heavy industries up to the latter part of the 90's (~98?). The Impreza actually used some interior parts directly lifted from the Nissan Sentra B14 series.

Nissan was not under Fuji Heavy Industries. 4.1% of the 20% FHI stake that GM bought in 1999 used to be owned by Nissan. In short from the mid-80's until the late 90's Nissan owned 4.1% of Fuji Heavy Industries not the other way around. This explains why some Nissan compnents/parts found their way in Subaru vehicles.

then, suspension and engine parts are both exclusive only to nissan as well as to subaru.
it seems that it is the durability of subaru's parts that compliments its availability

OT: how about impreza's parts, are they compatible with legacy's and vice-versa?

this reminds me of the dark blue wrc impreza i saw at caltex buendia. can't help na titigan yung kotse. hanep!!!! para sa akin advantage na kaagad yung porma.

OT: just found out again from a legacy owner that the compressor, shockabsorbers and gauge are compatible with nissan's particularly cefiro.

if impreza's parts are compatible with legacy then probably so with nissan's parts
