wait for motor image na magbukas ng dealership nila sa June sa may Greenhills...panigurado mas magiging OK after sales service ng Subaru.
ADVANTAGE:ADVANTAGE: SYMMETRICAL ALL WHEEL DRIVE. better natural balance,
improved handling, especially in inclement weather.
DIS-: AWD consumes more gas due to added weight.
ADVANTAGE: have the snub-factor kasi konti lang kayo.
DIS-: konti lang means, parts maybe harder to comeby (always fm. dealer lang)
which maybe more expensive.
thanks.. yung last 2 arguments mo tungkol sa snub-factor and parts availability ang important kasi considering asa pinas tayo, ala pa nga ata dealer sila.Originally Posted by parakitoJDM

will it change kung matuloy yung outlet nila sa greenhills?
horizontally opposed engine, 4wd, turbo engines.... are we talking about Porsche here?
YES....and also top line Subarus.... ;p
that reminds me, is there a car-service center that handles subaru model 96-99?Originally Posted by basti08

i just want to know what to expect in owning a subaru. thanks again
nakow...very messy nga ang engine bay ng Subarus...nakakahilo.
Columbian Motors (ba yun?) used to import Legacies here before... why not ask them?
also, GM Autoworld sold Foresters or another is wait for motor image to open up in June (daw).
how about an impreza? yung parts nya at services yung main consideration. given yung mga opinion nyo, sakit sa ulo lang yun di ba? the risk is not tolerable.
not sure about impreza... eh kung same mechanicals na impreza as with the models sold here...baka ma handle nila.
inquire ka para sure.
ganun ba. ok, post ko yung inquiry ko so that other owners or future owners might have an idea.Originally Posted by basti08

ok yan.... post mo nga results just to shed light to those who would want to make 'impreza-hunting' in the near future. goodluck.
I drive a 2004 Forester. Agree with above quote. Additional advantages: comfortable ride, safety, durable parts, exhaust note (love the sound when I floor it, not as deep as a V8 though). My gas consumption 10 km/L (hataw, traffic, mountain driving/ baguio) - 12 km/L (easy driving <100km/hr). Big disadv: parts availability and price. Sa GM ako nagpapaservice. They also service Legacy & Impreza. I'm also awaiting Motor Image.ADVANTAGE:ADVANTAGE: SYMMETRICAL ALL WHEEL DRIVE. better natural balance,

"ALMOST ALL PARTS PALA NG SUBARU "NISSAN COMPATIBLE" KAYA DI NAKAKATAKOT PARTS"
quote ko lang eto mula sa isang owner ng Subaru Legacy. how true is this?
Not sure about the new ones but Nissan and Subaru were both under Fuji Heavy industries up to the latter part of the 90's (~98?). The Impreza actually used some interior parts directly lifted from the Nissan Sentra B14 series.

Nissan was not under Fuji Heavy Industries. 4.1% of the 20% FHI stake that GM bought in 1999 used to be owned by Nissan. In short from the mid-80's until the late 90's Nissan owned 4.1% of Fuji Heavy Industries not the other way around. This explains why some Nissan compnents/parts found their way in Subaru vehicles.Originally Posted by OTEP

And this is definitely not true for modern Subarus.
Ang pagbalik ng comeback...
then, suspension and engine parts are both exclusive only to nissan as well as to subaru.Originally Posted by niky
it seems that it is the durability of subaru's parts that compliments its availability
OT: how about impreza's parts, are they compatible with legacy's and vice-versa?
this reminds me of the dark blue wrc impreza i saw at caltex buendia. can't help na titigan yung kotse. hanep!!!! para sa akin advantage na kaagad yung porma.
OT: just found out again from a legacy owner that the compressor, shockabsorbers and gauge are compatible with nissan's particularly cefiro.
if impreza's parts are compatible with legacy then probably so with nissan's parts
