Those 3 SUV/CUV's you mentioned were all part of my list. I shied away from the santa fe due to the incoming model, the sorento was too expensive at the time, and the explorer had a ridiculous DI. Mukhang pareho kursunadang sasakyan ng mga naka-bartolina ah hehehehe...

I ended up buying a subie BR9. Not the slightest of regret. All you will want to do is drive the monster, and somebody would really have to wipe the smile off your face especially in the expressways

Totoo ba 'to? Tinext ako ng SA from Kia Acropolis na may available na nga daw silang units ng Sorento LX (1.330M) and Sportage EX CRDi (1.290M). Hindi pa ko nakakapagsched ng test drive though so haven't seen the cars in the flesh.

i prefer the Sorento without the foglights and the roofrail. just like this one in black: parang talagang govt. politician car





both my existing SUVs now have roofrails and foglights. parang wala naman silbe eh. this one I can power trip tapos akala nila mahal pero it'll not cost me a fortune to acquire and to maintain.


kung pwede lang sana Land Rover Defender ang makuha ko eh kaya lang paktay ako sa maint nun. eto na lang kung kukuha ako, coz boxy cars are better looking now that fluidic cars are ordinary. if I attend hotel parties na may mga pupunta politicians, this one can easily be mistaken as one of the more expensive navigators.

but still the Montero is one fine vehicle. kita nyo ba flooding capabilities nya dun sa V. Luna thread galing!

since I own a the stadard Sta Fe, ako na magsasabi sa inyo, yan foglights and roof rack nyan eh talaga I've analyzed myself in my 6 yrs old sta fe. NO USE! the auxiliary lights that comes with Korean cars are just auxiliary, it's only useful at the break of dawn or early evening. ganyan din yun Starex GRX namin eh, parang walang lang bakit kinabit ka pa? pagdagdag lang sa replacement thingy. ang bulb nga nyan eh P200 lang eh per side. tapos pag pinackage sa brand new car eh tipong parang justified na it's for top of the line.

the roof rack now are so cheap looking tipong tangkay or handle lang. my original sta fe has the built-in version tulad nun sa X-trail pero still NO USE! kapag inatake tayo ng Avengers, syempre mas pipiliin ni Hulk yan mga SUV nyo na may roof rack for split decision kasi dami kalaban. mas madali buhatin may handle eh

what else, yun mga controls sa steering. I also have that in Sta Fe. eh pano na kung upgrade ako sa touch HU, syempre mas gustuhin ko i-touch ang HU kaysa i-port ko pa controls sa steering, if not then that anong kwenta bumili pa ako ng touch HU.

mudguards. wag na kayo bumili nyan. I believe in "form over function" philosophy. (the same goes with installation of sidesteps) the Mudguards make your vehicles look like a daddy-car or for oldies cars. ang laki ng difference pag wala yan. and since nag-pretend naman tayo lahat ng makisig at batam-bata (coz we bought a SUV), what's a few car wash every now and then, exercise pa yan

eto lang ang ayaw ko sa Montero parang mahirap linisin kasi mataas and and may tapalodo pa sa gulong, it hinders the free flow of car wash water. sa strada 2nd gen ko kasi ganun din may tapalodo, tipong 1 hour to clean the whole car. but the SF, ah kaya ko ng 20 mins. yan kasi sobrang okey ang curves and fluid body nya, car wash water is easily controllable. dito sa sorento, parang ganun pa din hindi naman sya ganun ka boxy,

may gamit yung roof rack OB, nagagamit ko e. like when i borrowed my father's ladder, sa roof rack ko nilagay. bumili ako ng rocking chair, sa roof rack din at di kasi kasya sa loob. during the time may carpentry job ako na DIY sa bahay (gumawa ako ng tree house ng mga anak ko), e hindi naman i-deliver ng hardware pag below 10K, made 2 trips to the hardware hauling the lumber. sa iyo siguro wala pero sa gaya ko na mahilig magkutingting ng kung ano-ano malaki gamit ng roof rack.

pero titignan ko kung ano mas maganda sa sorento. pag ok naman walang roof rack e score 1 for OB, no roof rack!

I don't know about your GRX, but the Gen 1 and GRX fogs on the units we got were greatly appreciated because they were low and wide, and even with the stock bulb and medium magic tint in front, were quite bright. It's the GS fogs that I agree are forgettable in stock form.

On the Sorento LX, if the fogs came stock on the P1.330M units, then good. If not, or if they'll ask me to pay P100K extra for the fogs and a few other small goodies, I'll just take the money and go to garyq. ;)

ganda noh maganda tlaga taste ko eh at di ka pa mapapagastos tulad nyan hype ng new explorer and 3rd gen sta Fe. Kung may pambile ako ng bago ford explorer eh mas bilhin ko pa yan sayang din yun mga 1M. Pwde na ako mag Moscow, Budapest, Prague sa savings ko nyan

thats what the sales consultant dennis adrales said. paki chk na rin. accdg to him wala ng 1.590m. kasi nga binaba na sya to 1.330m.

saw a black one in kia greenhills. will buy an lx siguro next month. was really surprised to see that they dropped the price. i guess oversupply sila and cant penetrate the market.
