    Ayoko tumingin ng pics. :D

Midlife crisis? Or hindi pa rin maka-move on from pagkabinata? Nung super uso yung SiR as a rich highschool and college kid's toy, my dad's friend had one (he was in his late 40s that time). He and his son must have spent well over 300K for it's mods but it did look strange seeing that friend of my dad driving around in one since he was more of the Mercedes Benz and BMW type before i saw him drive that.

Tama theory ni uls, most of these racer wannabes are the one who were deprived of having a car nun college to the better part of their corporate immersion..

While some percentage just refuse to grow up...

Ang kawawa yun Meron ng asawa or anak...just really uncomfortable for the wife and kid to ride a lowered, noisy car...

Ya bihira ka na makakita ng kids driving an SiR. most of them drive simple cars nalang such as the Altis, Elantra or the FD. Minsan nga SUV pa dala nila.

It's been months since I've seen an SiR driven by a teenage kid. Karamihan around 30's spending each and every penny from their sahod sa kotse nila

It was a relatively limited production vehicle, there is still undoubtedly a demand for it from certain quarters because it is one of the cheapest and widely supported out-of-the-box "performance" vehicles, and there are people who are trying to cash in on it by selling theirs at high prices. Heck, if i had one in my garage and knowing there are kids out there who want to have one, i'd be stupid not wanting to sell it at the highest price right?

Aside from the SiR, the only other locally sold vehicle that i can think of which kept an insane resale value was the Land Cruiser 80 and 100. Same dynamics of limited units sold, it caters to a specific market, and it was sold in the mid to late 1990s before car prices jumped up so there is also some inflation factor here.
madami pa na-to-total wreck sa mga limited produced na yan, kaya lalo tumaas demand.

TO make things easy for the surplus guys, based on the pictures i've seen before, automatic pang humihiwalay yung makina ng SiR.

Iba talaga kapag nasanay ka sa pick-up/SUV. Parang nakakapanibago na yung mga dating lubak at pangit na daan na smooth riing ka, nagyon kelangan mo na mag-slow down at pa-iwas-iwas.

I'll go for the SIR, the CR-V is a bit thirsty. The best part about the SIR is that it really is like having 2 engines in one car. It behaves like a normal Civic vti when driven sedately and can give brisk performance when rev hard.

The SiR is thirsty, but not as thirsty as the 2nd generation CR-V with the K20 and the automatic... or even the manual.

    Ang pagbalik ng comeback...

^ of course... those CRV's are the worst. Poor economy, harsh ride etc.
