I used to love Japanese brands before.

*Bro AY: Diba 6 M/T yung Carens mo?

Seriously, i'd get an SUV in a heartbeat. If you think a virgin SiR is rare, try finding a Nissan Safari in good condition just as well.

Back in college, yan yung height ng pagkauso ng SiR; guys would spend hundreds of thousands for their mods and there would be ten other guys looking the same. When i brought our A32 Cefiro to school as my daily driver pick-up was being serviced, some girls commented it was waaay better then the rezing-rezing conyo boy Civics.

    SiR kaya?

nakikita ko lang naman na advantage ng sir engine is ung 7500-8000 redline... pero decent torque doesent come until 5000 rpm.. kaya from stoplight, rev hard mga honda engines na yan until magkamomentum na sila sa 2nd gear, and 3rd gear... on 4th, pwede ka na maiwan...

    unless, sentra na SR16ve makina mo or AE-series w/ 4AGE-20v w/ 6MT....

k&n filter oil catch can at unichip (decided na ako eto na kukunin ko, mas tunable than the rest).

    optional mods:

devil's own is optional din..kung bitin.. and kung mapapagawan ng hotpipes drop pipe, install ng oil coolers, at relocate ng FMIC, mas ok...

siyempre, after this, body control and stopping power kailangan ko din i-upgrade.

try ko magparticipte sa next 0-400 event ni speedlab to have some figures.

    Everyday use... hmmm.....

for me its the SUV, or a pick up.

either way, here are my points of view (no offense to SiR owners or SUV owners)

SUV or pickup: (all diesel and all chassis-on-body, no gas and monocoque, im not a fan of those)

    the good:

    the bad:
mas mahal maintenance (change oil, suspension parts[if kaya mong sirain, haha]), mas malaki so mas mahirap imaneuver sa singit singitan ng konti lang naman compared sa SiR, mas mahirap ng onti ipark. mas mabagal kaysa sa SiR.

    SiR:

    The good:
matulin for a compact car, mayabang ang dating, andami mong ka car club na lagi kayong nagyayabangan sa isat isa ng mga mods nyo tuwing nagkikita kayo, mas may dating ng rich kid racer boy, mas mura maintenance.

    the bad,

Id take a pick up any day kahit wala akong gagamitan ng bed. anggwapo eh at practical at matibay. never understood the logic of getting a pickup or a tough 4x4 rig until i was 4th year college, well, i guess it comes with age.

decide on which you really want, then go for whatever that is. Of all things, DONT pretend that you have the best of both worlds. If you have a pickup/suv dont drive it like an SiR, youll wreck your engine and probably roll over :D :D
in the same sense sont buy an SiR and drive it off road :_)

Had an SiR once, Crashed it 4 times, hahaha

one thing i notice about some honda boys though (no offense to anyone) their MODS and their HONDA'S control their attitude and their yabang. Their self identity disappears into their car.

    hope this helps, cheers!

Was actually an SiR fan when it first came out. Pocket rocket nga naman, OEM pa. The 'magic' wore off when I got to ride my friend's bonestock SiR. Wasn't much of a difference from the MT '06 VTi that my Mom had. Perhaps faster, but not that much. Chick magnet? Maybe a bit... when it was first introduced. Not that many options then though.

Between the SiR and CR-V, for flood prone locations, I'd go with the SUV. It's not as frugal, but it'll save me when I need some ride height. Chick magnet?!

Throwing the 3.0L Camry into the picture, hands down, that's where my vote will go. Sure, I'm biased. I own the same model car but with a 2.0L engine. Mine's no rocket but the 3.0L will be much faster, plus it's spacious and comfortable, save for the wagon type rear of the SUV, it's got room for cargo! Though it's not as much a looker as the current bodied Camry, slap on some sportier 18s, lower a bit and to my mature tastes it'll look better than your SiR. Chick magnet?!

LOL. B18C ang engine ng Integra R, ang SiR, B16A. and yung AWD ng CRV is useless, you can't lock it, on demand lang.
