    IMHO you should take a closer look at individual units you're considering. As people have said before, most components are sourced from specialist manufacturers. Comparing within each car segment (compact, midsize, etc) fit and finish and the overall quality of the body you can attribute to the brand.

    The only complaints I can say about the 2 Korean cars we've had (Grand Starex & Tucson) is the sheet metal tends to rust earlier,and the rubber bushes etc underneath get destroyed earlier. GS had a noisy sliding door and the Tucson had to have its a/t checked by the dealer. Not sure if that can be classified under build quality. Otherwise, great overall value.

    So you've been in this forum since you were 5 years old?

    Japanese = practicality and reliability.

    European if one can afford the maintenance but not as reliable as Japanese.

    panay ang pang aasar natin kay TS ah.Hihi. here's my thoughts to TS
    european - since nasa pinas tayo at parang ala "mars" ang road conditions satin di natin kailangan ang stable na car on the hi speed hway like for example autobahn in germany. you can drive at a speed 300km/hr o hanggang saan kaya ng car speed. so i would say lifestyle na lang bumibuli ng european cars dito satin

    korean - improving their technology for the past decade. catching up to japanese

    american - if you want a "muscle cars". personally, not a fond of kano car

    chinese - bulok sa quality sa ngayon. sayang lang ang pera

    japanese - well ikaw na nga ang choice ko. Hehe

Price isn't an issue as well, it doesn't matter if one is a lot more expensive than the other. The only priority is the overall quality of the vehicle.

    Which should one choose? Japanese, American, European, Korean, or Chinese?
    go nippon!
    why? because, even if you have the cash, there's still the minor headache or annoyance caused by malfunction and/or breakdown.

    "the europeans will invent it.. the americans will build it.. the japanese will improve on it and mass-produce it.. the chinese will copy it and produce it cheap, but it'll be a poor copy.. and the russians will claim credit for it.." - joke. i doubt if any of you are old enough to remember this.. heh heh.
