Mga boss, Current ride ko is 2004 Altis J.

We're planning to sell that and ibibigay sakin ni ermat yung 2001 2nd gen rav4 nya. (4x4 AT)

My concern is practical ba na yung rav4 ang gamitin ko? or ibenta ko at kumuha ng 2nd hand na 2005 na jazz? or any suggestions?

Ang concern ko kung bakit hesitant ako kunin yung rav eh yung FC nya which is 5-7km/L lang and as of the moment eh Basic lang ang ine-earn ko which I think is hindi practical.

to keep the altis is not an option.

    Thanks

    Blue, it depends.

What are the usual road conditions that you are passing through ?
Does it really need the 4x4 tech ? Or, a jazz could suffice ?
Do you think that you need the larger interior space that the Rav4 offers than the Jazz ? Or, you just accepted your mother's offer for the reason that she's your mother ?

If the answer for the 2nd question is no, and for the 3rd is yes. Then I guess, stick with the Jazz.
However, if your answer for the 4th one is yes ... think about it again. Then, if the answer for the 5th question is again yes ... then again, think about it.

The RAV4 is a pretty good car and so as the Jazz. Though they belong in different categories, both will be a good family car. And even though the RAV is bigger, it doesn't give you extra 2 seats, just a reminder. It only offers you higher ground clearance and wider and roomier interior, you may find this an advantage just think about it if it's really worth it since you're open to the fact that it consumes more fuel than what the Jazz consumes on an average basis.

The biggest advantage that you may get is the trust on the seller, in this case your mom. You know how it was held and maintained compared to the Jazz whose seller is a complete stranger. And, with your mom as the seller of the RAV, you might have get discounts that could lessen your " kamaganak price ".

    hth.

Personally, I like driving a 2nd gen RAV 4 than an Altis.

Usually city driving lang sir. North Caloocan to Pier(Office)

Not really pero plus point din yung 4x4 especially when time comes na kelangan mo sya. though sacrificing FC.

Not really. (Actually last year lang namin nakuha yung rav4. since my mom always wanted to have an SUV pero okay naman sakanya kung ibenta namin yung rav) BTW, Hindi ko bibilin yung rav. Hand me down lang

Or, you just accepted your mother's offer for the reason that she's your mother ?
Again, Hand me down lang sir yun rav4. even the altis.

Again, Hand me down yung rav sir so pag kumuha dapat ng oto eh same price sa resale value ng rav.

    hth.

    Thanks sir renzo

Nako po. Hand me down, magagalit saatin si crappy este cabbyrider niyan.

    Kidding aside.

Since it's going to be a hand-me-down vehicle from your mom, then it would be a decision that's hard to resist especially if the RAV is in it's very best condition.

Personally, I would like to have one if given the chance.

    :bottom:Ay oo nga

Sabagay sir. Naisip ko din since bahain sa dinadaanan ko lalo na pag malakas ulan, it would be easier for a rav to pass through these areas.

    Tiis nalang sa FC nya.

Why not keep the Rav4 and trade the Altis in for a Jazz? It's cheaper to run compared to your current car.

It is not worth the expense to maintain the RAV4 if you are on a tight budget.

The '05 Jazz is a good & practical choice. It might feel right now you are downgrading yourself in terms of cars but after driving the Jazz a couple of weeks, you'll see that it's really a more a practical life-style car for anyone living in the city all the time.

the gen 1 CRV is a lot roomier than the rav4. i used to get 7-9 km/l in my m/t '01 model.

may 4wd din. much like the rav4's only not full time.

if you'll be riding alone most of the time and you dont do long distances, best to get a smaller car like the jazz. maybe a picanto.

Sarap naman niyan sir.. Tama sila sir. Gamitin mo muna yung rav dahil rainy season na naman. Ingat lang dahil alam ko medyo mahal parts niyan e.

Should I keep the rav4?
