Sell or Keep? 2010 1.6 G Altis M/T

To sell or not to sell Can I get P450k for this? I will not be able to use the car for 2 yrs. Is it worth selling now and then get another car worth P500k or probably a new Vios E or Yaris E M/T (P750k) in 2018? My risk is if I sell and buy a second hand car in 2018, I will not know the history, and if I buy a new car, I have to add a relatively large amount of cash.

- Mileage is 41k
- Covered parking at home and in the office
- Tires are fairly new (bought in 2015)
- Newly registered
- Will be insured
- Never been in an accident
- Never flooded
- Interior is super fresh
- Casa maintained (all records are with me)

Lady driven but well maintained Kinda smells new pa rin (seriously)

Why don't you just keep it? I mean inalagaan mo yan, I'd rather keep it than opt to get a second hand in 2018.

Dito lang 11th gen ko kasi I need a car pag uuwi ako. Sobrang lugi ako sa depreciation kung ibenta ko. Although pwede rin, since I will have more cash for a new car in 2018?

Walang gagamit. Yung cousin ko na parang little brother ko, sabi ko gamitin, ayaw naman.

Nope. Yung 11th gen ko hindi pala lemon, palpak lang mga tao sa Toyota Pasig. When I switched to Toyota Bicutan nagawa kaagad. It's working perfectly now.

Sell both is the most logical choice if you will be gone for that long, buy a new car when you return....
For vacation...tama sabi nila just rent out a car specially if you will just be staying for a month or two.
Sayang lang pag tinambak mo yung mga cars.

Sell it now. It will just depreciate.

Sell it Cathy. Depreciation is still a cost. You don't need two cars sitting in your garage while you're gone for two years.

Besides when you come back your circumstances would have changed. Invest the money or park it somewhere safe like bonds while you are gone. Use it for a downpayment of a condo or what not.

It's a bad financial move for you if you keep it.

For practicality, I will agree with CNS na ibenta nalang parehas.

Pero kung hindi ibenta nalang yung luma lalo na kung walang gustong gumamit habang wala ka.

I see no solid financial reason to hold on to TWO Altises for two years, except for sentimental reason.

Sell it na and buy another type of vehicle when you return, if you still need a 2nd car. By then, you'll have more choices I'm sure

Benta mo na pareho. Save yourself the depreciation cost.

When you go back for a vacation, get yourself a rental car of your preference. Still cheaper imho

I'd also sell both, invest the money, and buy something nicer when I get back.

This is what my uncle does - he's based in Hong Kong but goes home every other month for about a week. He just uses my aunt's coding car when he's here since he doesn't want to deal with depreciation and maintenance.
