is the rubber chin effective for low ground clearance cars (looking at you mazda2)? or any other non-drastic way to compensate para iwas sayad?

No. Mas sasayad ka pa. You are effectively lowering the bumper clearance. It is actually counter intuitive. Maiiwasan nga na magasgasan yung bottom pero after a few scrapes, the screw and adhesive will be useless. So pili ka, mas gusto mo ba maging butas butas ung bottom bumper mo dahil sa screw or live with some few scratches on your bumper.

Not effective for everyday use. Pag sumagi ka rin at normal speeds, matatamaan din yung ilalim ng bumper... same thing.
