i need some opinions coming from you guys,

Retain our 04 pajero fm with 121,000kms on odometer or sell it and buy a brand new elantra either 1.6 mt or 1.8 at gls

    concern:
    1. Maintenance? which is cheaper in the long run?
2.Fuel Consumption : fm namin ang average is 7km/per liter either city or long drive
    3. will use the car for 85% city 15% long drive
    4.

    Things to consider:
    - no of regular passengers
    - location of dealership in your area
    - is it a need or just a luxury on your part?

As they say: "if it ain't broken, don't fix it.." but nothing beats a new car

Keep! Even if the Elantra is more fuel efficient than the Pajero, it is still negated by the lower cost of diesel over the cost of gasoline. Old school diesel yung Pajero, so mura lang ang maintenance. This also means 120+++tkms on the clock is still relatively young. I suggest you modify the Pajero nalang for more power.

Ways to improve maintenance cost of your Pajero.

    1. Install an Oil catch can.
    2. Use a very good quality oil and oil filter to be able to do extended oil drain intervals. http://tsikot.com/forums/engine-fuel...tration-79219/
    3. Use 2t oil mixed in your diesel fuel. Ratio is 5ml of 2T per liter of diesel fuel
    4. Install water/alcohol injection system like devilsown
    5. Do the washer mod in your waste gate turbo to increase boost pressure. Yung may red arrow yung washer mod. http://tsikot.com/forums/pick-ups-tr...ers-%3D-11575/

hmm, i remember what the sales agent of a used car dealer in Cebu City (Gateway) said: "A Pajero is still a Pajero".

I'd suggest you have a manual boost controller, K&N air filter and alcohol injection by Speedlab. That should do much to improve your ageing Pajero's performance.

buy the elantra and sell the FM. How much do you want for it? Had one and now I want one again

    -1-5 passenger
-walking distance lang ako sa hyundai marcos highway
-i think its not a need but a want for my part

    some things to fix:
    -calibration (15k)
    -re upholster seats (15k)

    replacement parts price
    tires-9k plus for 16"
    battery - 6k plus
    calibration - 10k-14k
    reupholster - 15k
    headlamps depo-5k
    oil change - 6.5ltrs
repaint - 20k up due to some parts wala na yung clear coat

so maybe instead of fixing and replacing things why not buy a new car ?
