As one of the netizen, very interesting topic sana yung isang thread sa FB, yun lang po, medyo maraming negative comments..(crabs everywhere)

Hopefully kung meron man po makabasa dito sa thread na ito....dito dapat basahin dahil maraming makakatulong sa nagtatanong...maraming matagal na experienced driver/mechanics, even race car driver, possibly, meron po dito..

    and merong sense ang tanong...

and the person who ask is possibly, a car enthusiast..

One is a car, the other is a truck. The 86 handles like a sports car, the other like a, uh, truck with some refinements....

I second that Yuki13. can't compare those two vehicles since they're in different category. You have to specify ano yung pag gagamitan mo nung vehicle. I've read that post of TGP khapon and it started the keyboard wars

Toyota 86 or Ford Ranger Wildtrak
one is a car, one is a truck. you can compare all you want but at the end of the day, you buy what you need.

Porma nga lang siguro hanap nung bata since both his choices doesnt show any practicality for a student. But then he has a rich family and dun mo ma differentiate yung meaning nang words na "Want" and "Need".

kung age 17 to 21 di bagay sayo naka pickup

The 86 is the best midlife crisis car because it fools people thinking youthful and mayaman ka, eh sa totoo lang mas mura pa siya sa Fortuner 3.0 or FXT.

the 86 tells people "hey this is just my toy car. i have other cars"

but if that's your only car and you have a family... ummm... i would go "dude what are you thinking?"

The kid probably studies in Ateneo/DLSU/CSB/UST/UA&P

I would rather have the Ranger if I studied in one of those schools. Except in UA&P, but kids there are the absolute brattiest brats. I studied in Ust and had a sorento, if I had an 86 or any other sports car, i would be stressed out everytime it rained. Our parents gave us cars in college to focus with our studies, and not to be stressed out or show off.

A ranger would be useful for going to the beach with a surfboard or a trekking with a bike
