Kung pang rent/for hire Lang naman, dun na ako sa Nissan Urvan kasi sa maintenance pa lang lamang ka na since simple nag makina into mas topic sa maintenance.

I agree with ron. Since it's going to be a rental/for hire, maintenance will probably be more important to you, as the owner, over the perceived additional comfort. Unless of course kung ikaw ang kasamang driver. Mas maaalagaan mo but then iba pa din ang gumagamit/sumasakay.

The TCi GS will have that additional prestige/dating factor vs the Urvan, but then when that wears off, you'll basically realize you need headcount and not much more.

By for rent/for hire you mean yung tipong may pinaparenta on per day basis for excursions and the like? If so, OK na yung Starex. Mas mataas ang masisingil mo as compared to other vans for obvious reasons. It will also attract more renters due to superior ride comfort.

So far, haven't heard any stories like the ones about the previous GRX AC.

The TCI is desirable for rent because it's more attractive to renters due to the extra space and comfort over the Commuter and Urvan.

If you're doing rentals, why not consider two secondhand vans instead of one new one?

95percent of Renters usually look for the cheapest rates.... so better look for the CHEAPEST DIESEL VAN possible.... halos lahat ng renters SUPER BARAT....

Or like bro niky has mentioned, you can get two 2nd hand vans. Pwede kang mag-alternate so that it would not be too hard on the van, which means lesser breakdowns. And then ma-aavoid mo ang coding days. Or if you would like, doble kita. Since 2nd hand na, malaki na ang minura niya, which in turn means you can offer more competitive rates. I'd suggest the long wheelbase Starex GRX M/T for this one. Your choice if you would want the CRDi or plain Turbo Intercooler. Kapag nakitang mura at Starex pa, kuha na kaagad yan!

If you're planning the second hand route, you can consider these:
THE ULTIMATE USED CAR GUIDE: Used Car of the Week - Hyundai Starex CRDi (2004-2007)
    - Hiace Grandia (2006-2010)
    - Urvan Escapade

Kung makahanap ka ng two, go for it! Kapaga mura, go for it!

Kung magaling ka mamili, you can find a very fresh unit. Just today, bumili ang tito ko ng isang 2008 Santa Fe with just 40tkms on the clock and an aftermarket A/V entertainment system with backup camera. Napakaganda ng kondisyon, lakas humatak, for 800k. Mukhang almost showroom-new, despite being a four year old car.

Or, you can get a 2008 (1st batch) M/T GS TCi, and the remaining for an early 2000s Nissan Urvan. Meron kang pang high class at merong pang matipid. Like so: Nissan Urvan MT - 01 | Cars for sale Quezon City | AyosDito.ph, Hyundai Grand Starex MT - 08 | Cars for sale San Juan | AyosDito.ph

Just this week, gusto sana bumili ng misis ko ng Adventure gx o Innova J para gamit nya sa negosyo nya pang kargahan ng stocks, all set na sya to put a downpayment on the Innova, buti na lang nag alok yung isang family friend namin if we want to buy their 02 Starex SVX which is hardly used(34,000km pa lang ang natakbo). Needless to say, we bought it, much better than putting the money for dp on the Innova.

^Congrats on the buy bro! And then meron ka pang sukling pang-porma.
