Wow ang gaganda ng feedback nyo guys. I was surprised with the FC review on the lancer. I've read almost all comments on the lancer thread but there are no current reviews regarding FC, performance and suspension on EX 1.6 variant. I also noticed that mostly GTA variants ang nasa streets. I love the blue color of lancer ex (masculine talaga) and the HU kasi touchscreen with bluetooth pa. I just dont know kung mabigat bang dalhin ang lancer because of its body.

Sa Elantra naman, super swabe looks. Tama di nga sya pang binata kasi for me elegant talaga ang Elantra parang manager ang dating. May shift tronic ba elantra?

huli ka TeraBoy! hahahaha! for me i'd go with elantra 1.6 A/T. With a 6speed trasnsmission tingin ko tipid nito. With lancer haven't tried it pero parang mashadong bare for me. So Jazz wala ako masabi maganda talaga pero as what others said pang binata. For me as what i've told you before, the practical choice is the elantra then 17's or 18's ok na! hehehe!

    Jegger nabuhay ka hehe!

I know ganda ng engine at porma ng elantra kaso may drum breaks pa din. Try ko i test drive. Guys, any reviews sa FC ng 1.6 Elantra on city and highways? Kagabi daming Elantra.

As for lancer, I love the features and not too pricey compared to JAzz and Elantra. My hesitation is that it has only 4-speed automatic transmission.

Sa Jazz naman lahat ok lalo na paddleshift and 4 disc breaks but too pricey for a subcompact car. HU, bluetooth lang ang wala. Add 50K daw sabi sa casa. :-(

I haven't finished writing my article on the Lancer 1.6L test drive ... (mental note: gotta finish writing it quick!).

if you will avail of auto loan, yung P70k difference ng 1.6L at 1.8L is just over P1k/month pero kapalit ay 16" rims, fog lamps, side repeater, better HU, more engine power, split folding rear seats, leather covered steering wheel, adjustable rear headrests, all wheel disc brakes, steering wheel mounted audio controls

I agree with this post sir. The 70k difference is simply too small. Go with the 1.8 elantra sir, tapos na lahat na doubts. You get all your wants and needs in this car. Plus, you wont need to spend anything for upgrades since its already awesome as stock.

If I were to choose among your given choices only, the jazz still gets my vote. Its spacious, quick, sporty, fuel efficient, looks great too. The 1.6 elantra's interior is quite bare and the stock rims and tires is too small for its big body. Its a great car pero parang wala lang flavor. I cant comment on the 1.6 lancer since I have no first hand experience yet.

The FC isn't all that impressive. Probably about par with most 1.6 engines. Keep in mind that the FC was recorded from an out of town trip with light traffic. The engine isn't all that special and a 4AT doesn't help much to improve fuel economy.

Konti palang yung 1.6 kasi kakalabas lang. But the Lancer chassis is good - not wallowy but not too stiff. Paired with high profile tires on tiny (for the big body) rims, ride should be comfy enough.

Elantra naman is more on the soft side.

Yes, may Shiftronic ang Elantra Automatic.

I like the jazz kung dito lang sa city kasi economical. Pero kung out of town and may kasama kapa iba tao medyo skeptical ako. Plus kung wag naman sana pag accident parang lugi ka he he. Kung pang second car ok sakin pero kung isa lang kotse mo rather go for the lancer or any other compact car. Kung reliability and comfort altis ako he he he.

Actually the 1.5 L15A of the Jazz is pretty fine on the highway. Long 5th gear keeps revs down, and power's aplenty.
NVH of the Altis is better though... Haven't driven the Elantra or Lancer on the highway so can't comment much.

    Guys,

Na test drive ko na ang Jazz 1.5 V a while ago at Daang Hari with my wifey and SA. All I can say is that its really powerful at 1.5V kahit 3 na kami, magaan syang i drive, laki ng legroom at the back and i really enjoyed using paddle shifts but if i will be comparing it to 2009/2010 CIVIC 1.8 in terms of comfort, mas OK pala talaga ang full sized sedan. Di mo ramdam ang speed sa mga full size sedan and they more quiet at higher speed.

Ok nmn ang jazz at high speed but you can feel na matulin ka na talaga na medyo scary sa passengers. I've also noticed a while ago na parang may noise sa harapan ng JAZZ kanina. I don't know if it is on the engine or pangilalim. Sabi nga ng Sales Agent plate number daw yun but I believe that is not. I am driving since 1999 and I know there's something wrong. Tolerable naman yung ingay but for a brand new, mag iisip ka. Sa mga current Jazz owners you can correct me.

Elantra 1.8 GLS is very expensive na for me but now, I am beginning to consider it. Sana may extra budget pa.

Overall ok pa rin naman ang jazz becuase of FC. 20k/l reading kanina while nasa Daang Hari ako. Ok din ang performance in terms of speed.

Not bad considering what you will get over 1.6L

I used to drive a VTEC 1.5L honda city at kayang kaya ko ngang humataw sa daang hari, especially pag alangang oras at kokonti ang sasakyan sa daan.

sayang hindi kita nakita sa daang hari :D anyway, regarding sa ingay sa front, i don't get that with my jazz. Sad for Honda though if that is the case.

Pero like others say, 1.5L engine is mor than enough sa highway. But for long drives i'll also agree naman na iba parin ang compact car like civic, elantra and altis.

It really depends on what you need. Kumbaga may pros and cons lahat ng sasakyan but there is this one car na you will kinda negate the cons because you really like it.
Test drive mo rin ang elantra, altis and lancer :D Anyway like we said earlier, any of the cars on your list that you choose is a good one

    Sir,

By the way kakasal ko lang. I have no kids yet. I am an IT consultant and will use this car specially pag night shift lang ako and weekend dates with wifey. Gusto ko din try mga long drives. I am living in San Pedro Laguna and my office is at BGC. I am 27 years old kaya gusto ko ng car that is fun to drive at di mag sasawa after 5 yrs.

My first choice is JAZZ1.5V (Thai) pero ang ganda din kasi talaga nung 2 kaya naguguluhan ako. Hirap mamili. Mukang exciting din kasi yung paddleshift. :-)
Aesthetics: I actually like the Lancer, which can be easily turned into an Evo-inspired racing-replica and I particularly hate the current Elantra, so I would consider a Kia Forte instead (since it has the same powertrain of the Elantra with a more conservative look).

Fuel consumption: A good point for the Jazz. It can get 8-10km/l in heavy city traffic, up to 14-15km/l in highway.

Comfort and safety: Seems like the Jazz is the best option. Not bashing the Lancer or the Elantra, but the Jazz has better ergonomics...

Durability and maintenance: Hyundai had a lot of improvements on this matter in recent years. Honda has a good reliability, hardly gets a failure but not so cheap to fix like Mitsubishi.

Performance: despite having the smallest engine, the Jazz has a good setup.

The Jazz also have the best-built interior among the options given.

NCR:8-10km/L Province:10-13km/L Pure Hway:18-21km/L. depends on your driving habit din po..

Remember: the more hi-tech and features ng oto., the more sakit ng ulo balang araw.
    Goodluck
