That's a wrong notion po. It does not apply to all. remember that some of the models you mentioned have the same eng for the 4x2 and 4x4. The Hilux and the Dmax are the only exception as their 4x4 models have higher eng displacement while the rest have the same engine. These ute's are also part time 4WD's and unless you engage their 4WD mode, they are running 4x2 most of the time. The weight difference between a same model brand 4x2 vs 4x4 is not that significant. parang isang tao lang kung sakali. These utes are NOT fulltime all-wheel drive also (where fuel consumption is an issue). Between the Hilux and the Navarra, the Hilux probably has lesser creature comforts but far capable when it comes to loading capacity (HIlux with rear leafsprings vs the Navarra's rear coils) and real-world 4WD use. On paper, the Navarra wins. But longterm use will somehow see the Hilux dominate this segment because of enormous aftersales support and aftermarket upgrades
