go for honda Vti second choice lancer pero ford lynx hindi ko pa kabisado at isa pa maraming nagsasabi na medyo mahal ang parts ng ford lynx compare mo sa mga japanese cars.
it's a lot like asking us, "ano ba gusto ko kainin ngayon mga papi? pizza or pancit canton?".
give some more details, like personal preferences sa kotse (maliit, malaki, subcompact), gas consumption (tipid, tama lang), engine size, looks, etc...
wow to the TS we almost have the same situation right now...same budget....makiride na din ako sa thread mo sir....i've just sold my 97 Civic VTi and im planning for an upgrade and currently looking for a 2000 model up na pasok sa budget
ang gusto ko sana is kasing luwag nung ek sa loob, around 8-10km/l city driving fuel consumption will do, lakas humatak and yun mura and madali ang maintenance, availabiltiy of parts....
here are my choices
02 Lancer GLS
02 Lynx Ghia
00 Nissan Exalta STA
00 Corolla GLi lovelife
With your preference:
luwag nung ek sa loob: Corolla GLi lovelife/ Lancer GLS
around 8-10km/l city driving fuel consumption: lancer/corolla (lynx ata)
lakas humatak: lancer/sentra
madali ang maintenance: corolla and lancer (sentra at lynx, hirap maghanap ng mekaniko)
availabiltiy of parts: corolla lancer sentra
It`s pretty hard to spot a flooded vehicle from the not-flooded ones especially when it has been cleaned properly already. Best thing to do ? Go to the higher places wherein you can buy a vehicle or yet, buy the vehicle from a relative of yours. If you can't and if you're buying FROM the owner itself ... just see the place where he is living. I think you'll know if it has been flooded or not.
Yes. Check odometer readings too. But don't just rely on this ... some, tampers this to lower the reading itself.
Before you bring a trusted mechanic with you, it's better if you check the basic parts of the vehicle first. The power features if it's working, dents on the body, scratches, squeeking sound if any. Those basic things wont really be needing a mechanic, a good ear and a good eye will do.
Check the engine if there are any problems. This will need you the mechanic. Let him check if there are any things that needs replacing ... list it down, count the cost then minus it from the total price of the vehicle.
Check also the brakes. Check if its forming rust etc.
Last thing to do is test drive. You need to push the car to 100kph. Here, you can see if there is any wiggling issues. Also do check the idling of the vehicle ? Too harsh or is it just normal ?
Check also the other electrical stuffs. The radio, is it working ? The power antennas ( if available ) .
Aircon too, check it. Is it cool enough for the cabin or does it need cleaning already or freon additions.
When all of those stuffs are in perfect condition, haggle the price down. Then pay, then off you go.
Nasa kondisyong lancer 02, around 200 - 300k.
^ actually sir nauna yung pagbili ko... when i checked this thread sakto yun ang last suggestion....hehehe...
with all the features of the car value for your money talaga and good if your the buyer pa because of it's low resale value, saka fresh pa yun auto....hopefully this car will do well....i've own a sentra series 4 and durability and comfort talaga ang masasabi kong strengths of it...pati din sana sa exalta ko....
