actually hindi ako ang bibili, kumpare ko (pick up lover kasi ako hehe). pareho daw A/T ung dalawa, sa price naman parang halos pantay na, both nasa 800k,. in fact di ko nakikita tong mga sasakyan na to, sabi lang niya white na fieldmaster all orig as is., and black na sportivo na amoy bago pa daw may mga plastics pa nga daw sa loob. panghatid sundo daw sa skool and byahe probinsiya on weekends. sabi ko kung ako sa pajero ako kasi tested na yan. pero luma na daw kasi kesa at mataas na mileage.

Lets maybe look at it in a different perspective...

Would you trade in your good as new sportivo 2005 (25K mileage) for a Fieldmaster 1999 (4x2), 85K mileage?

Although I really like the Fieldmaster, I would not trade my 2 yr old car with a 8 yr old car.

Maintenance worries would be much more common on a 8 yr old vehicle compared to the 2 yr old one. Furthermore, replacement or maintenance cost for the SUV will be more expenive.

So, for the practicality point of view, the sportivo wins. But then again, the Pajero is in another level on its own. Luxury and Class does not come cheap.

Well, like I've said, it really depends on the car's condition.

If the Pajero has lower or comparable mileage to the Crosswind (say, the Crosswind is at 40-60k kms, and the Pajero is at 60 - 80k kms), and if it runs well and has good service records (knock on wood for the turbos...)... I'd get the Pajero.

Years and mileage never tell the full story. Our Crosswind is just three years old... but it has 120k kms on it already. I've been trying to convince my family that it's not worth disposing on trade in, and circumstances have validated my position... we're keeping it as a service.

So... it's just three years old, but it smokes more than my aunt's five year old Pajero, the driver's door doesn't line up right anymore (soft hinge material and heavy doors seem to be the bane of the Hilander Crosswind), the exhaust has been rewelded three or four times (but the last fix has lasted about 50k kms, so it's all good) and it's got fusebox issues.

The five year old Pajero has its share of wear in the interior, but it's still a much nicer place to be. Much more comfortable to ride and nicer to drive.

Would I trade? No. The Crosswind is a very useful back-up and utility vehicle, and I can't see us doing without.

But if I were buying these cars as a primary car? If the Pajero were in good condition, I'd go for it.

    Ang pagbalik ng comeback...

Yeah, check the condition of the Pajero. Have a trusted mechanic join you when inspecting the Pajero, if the condition's good, check the papers. If those all check out, then perhaps that Pajero's got your name on it. Hehehe!

The Sportivo's got newer interior amenities. And it could be more "luxurious" inside in a sense. It is, however, not of the same level as the Pajero. It's an AUV vs the Pajero being an SUV. However, if the driving experience and capability of the Sportivo fits your needs and that of your family's, then go for it.

hi mga brads, nakita ko na tong fieldmaster and sportivo, tinignan na namin at medyo sumakit yong likod ko sa byahe sa 96 pathfinder hehe..

ito ang mga facts kuno base sa mga may ari:

    1. white Fieldmaster;

    2nd owner
bading and me ari ngayon manager daw siya ng mga babae pa japan
walang records sa servicing, nawala na daw niya lahat. pero regular daw pa service?. ok naman ang paint and body walang dents pero mga marks and scratches, pero ok lang for 8 yrs old. ang dumi ng loob puro putik stains sa carpet, panghatid sundo pala ito ng mga japayuki sa airport. puro thats ok linis lang. engine naman parang mula pag bili di nalilinisan and dumi, nang inis start, ok naman 1 click and stable ang idle. tinignan ko tambutso me konting black smoke pag start up pero nawala rin nung running na engine. ok naman ang ride, mabilis din and ok ang pick up since A/T ito. di na namin nabilisan ng husto kasi sa loob ng village, pero it is still sound pa, walang kalampag sa mga humps. ok din ang aircon lamig. sa tingin ko di lang masyado naalagaan ang sasakyan nitong bading, puro sakay lang ang alam nito.check din namon or/cr sa kanya naman nakapangalan.. now sa price from 800k, pumayag sa 720k, take it or leave it.

    2.black sportivo
    1st owner,
wala akong masabi, kung ano yong naka display na brand new walang pinag kaiba dito, super alaga, pagpasok mo palang yong feel talaga brand new, puro plastics pa sa loob. binebenta pala to para palitan ng alterra. di na namin na test drive im sure lang ka problema yon, mileage confirmed 27k+. sa price naman 790k take it or leave it din. 1.1 daw bili niya e..

sabi ko sa kumpare ko pag isipan mo nalang, ok din naman yong fieldmaster over all linis lang, pero nakawalng gana kasi yong bading na may ari. so ano sa tingin niyo? risky ba yong pajero, o don nalang sa sportivo. kung ako sportivo nalang siguro para di na ako kabahan sa long drive.

base sa istorya na binigay mo, its so obvious na walang pakialam yong bading na me ari ng pajero. 2nd owner pa at di mo alam kung ano na nagawa sa engine or whatever, why not consider looking for another fieldmaster? forget about the sportivo, maingay na mausok pa.

    bading ang me ari
    puro putik stains sa carpet

sana na test drive nyo rin yung sportivo.......

sa PAJERO ako, pero hanap kayo iba unit, yung walang stains

pajero fieldmaster vs. crosswind sportivo
