thanks for the fast replywell for one, I'll go for power features.... city driving lang ako pero from time to time would go for long drives.... sana di masyado thirsty with fuel .... honda cars I think is good.... di ako maka decide kase i want lang sana something easy to drive talaga and of course a/t, available parts and would do well kahit luma
advantages of a Kia Picanto:
-small engine means one liter of gasoline goes a long long way.
-small and light. Light car with a small engine results in a preppy ride.
-cute styling (well .. depends if it fits your taste).
-can sit four people in comfort.
-relatively new, less wear & tear due to age.
a/t?
1999-2000 model of altis (vvti) and honda (vtec)
2000-2001 model of lancer,nissan
Define what is a 'good' auto brand. IMO, recent offerings from Kia and Hyundai make them on par with Japanese car brands, at the very least. Pangmatagalan, that will still largely depend on how diligently you follow the prescribed maintenance schedules regardless of brand, and how you take care of your car in general.Originally Posted by jesika

relatively newer vehicles in that price range
2k2 up Chevrolet Optra
2k2 up Chevrolet Venture
I wont recommed the Venture. It long and thirsty :thirsty: not a good city car. I drive one. For a small city car, go with Picanto, Getz, Echo or City.
You can even use your 350K as down payment and and get a brand new car. Thats more than 50% so your monthly amortization will be low.
350k is a lot of money.
You can get into a relatively recent Corolla Altis or Honda City for that much.
The Vios is another decent car within that range, but even if you're petite, some of your friends might not like the lack of legroom.
The Honda City 2001+ is one car to look for. It's relatively painless to drive, with a very good automatic transmission and great fuel economy, very light steering, a huge trunk and a 10,000 km service interval (in other words, you don't have to change the oil for months at a time). Sure, it looks weird, but it's a "forever" car. I know some people who didn't buy one for one simple reason: Their old pre-2001 City sedans were still working, and still giving them great mileage... they didn't see the point in getting a newer car when theirs still worked fine.
The Altis is also a great value. Parts are easy to come by, the interior is huge, and fuel economy is exceptional for its size. The only problem (from a practical point of view, ha... for boy-racers, there's lots of problems there...) is the somewhat bouncy ride.
-----
The Picanto isn't amazing in terms of space, but it's very driveable, very very easy to park, and amazingly cute. Simple car, with simple parts and cheap spares (from the casa).
-----
The Suzuki Alto fits your needs, as brand new, but it only seats four people (very narrow) and feels kinda cheap inside. But it rides surprisingly well and is a doodle to park. But if you go out of town a lot, it's not comfortable on the highway.
Ang pagbalik ng comeback...
for 350 i doubt you could get a 1.5 vios . you can get the 1.3 though .. kaso mataas na din mileage nun .. altis i doubt mataas reselling price nun .. pero this is what you can get for 350 ... Nissan Sentra or the Exalta model .. ok sa driving multilink suspension lakas aricon .. the con .. hindi maganda rear suspension nya ...
Mitsubishi Lancer 2003 .. good car I own one .. 1.6 engine SOHC kaya tipid sa gas unlike toyota DOHC kaya mas malakas konsumo ng gas. for 350 makakakuha ka na nyan .. good suspension and good driving performance .. the Con.. since SOHC sya hindi ganun kalakas ang makina in terms of Speed if your a Speed addict or a car racer .
I recommend the lancer offcourse ... plus the lancer can evolve thats the good things about it hehehehe
honda city or toyota altis.
both are good cars and have a good fuel consumption.
Mag Honda Civic SIR ka na lang. I guess you can find a good one with that price. Tiyaga lang po sa pagscout ng car. Bring a good mechanic if possible para makita mga sira ng auto..
wow, thanks sobra for your replies.... a friend is offering me his Exalta STA '01 for 290K negotiable pa ata. kung sakali naka save pa ako:kick:.... I check the reviews for STA mukang okay naman although someone commented makalampag exalta after a few years? is it true? malakas ba sa gas exalta?
Better kung less than 3 yrs old ang makukuha nyo, at the best kung kakilala nyo pa me ari. Kung wala, pang down na lang talaga sa brand new yan.
Sa tingin ko ok na inu mga sub compact Korean cars kung b/n, dahil its easy to assume na maingat naman kau, maingat sa lubak, d kaskasero. At most of all konti na lang ihuhulog nyo sa bank kesa sa mga more pricier Jap cars.
WOW, ganda pa nyan ah.. Mukhang fresh na fresh by the looks.
Grab mo na...Kayang kaya hatakin sa budget mo yan
..Sana na nga lang may matira kahit 10k sa budget mo
para meron kang pang contingency..
