mga sirs, choices ko na pasok sa budget and needs:

    1. sx4 crossover - 28t all-in down, 21t mo. blinged-out unit - skirts, different bumpers, dual tail pipe, tv-dvd-gps-rear cam + 2 headrest monitors.. cheapest cash-out, most accessorized, pero wala ko makitang inputs sa mga local forums.

    2. mazda 3 hatch - promo * 99t all-in, 20t/mo. std freebies + (sabi ng SA) raingutter & after market tv-dvd-gps hu+2 headrest monitor. mukha naman active ang clubmz3 forums..tsaka kaya i-turbo ng speedlab. un nga lang oldest sa group.

3.ford focus 1.8 hatch - 120t down, 24t mo. standard freebie lang. madami-dami naman ako nababasa about this, and fit ata mga cosworth parts from speedlab. kakafacelift lang and due for out na ata ang updated model...

4.2011 elantra 1.8 gls - blinged-out unit na dvd-tv-gps, rear cam+sensor, raingutter. the only sedan on my lists na ok ang rear seat legroom/space with wide rear patungan and trunk. very active ang mga owners online..eto ang i could say na "new" sa batch. 98-118T all-in down, 21T monthly...pagisipan ko kung 1.6L ako..pero baka MT kunin ko kung 1.6L.

    pati reason why.. thanks!

    side notes:

altis 1.6G-MT, civic 1.8S, lancer ex gls ay off sa budget ang all-in down nila...

sentra 200, grand livina 6MT ay seasonal magoffer ng below 100T all-in down.. pero im still considering these, especially the livina.. so far, yang mga yan ang naka line-up...

kung may similar thread na ako like this, paki merge nalang. ty.

Kung ganon Elantra nalang. The Mazda 3 and Focus replacements are coming out soon, the SX4 is pretty much a lackluster product especially with local specs. The Elantra seems to be the best choice being the newest and best spec'd among your choices. Performance should also be a strong note.

Seriously speaking I'd pick the SX4 crossover. Looks unique in every way. Yun nga lang, para kang si desert_fox dito sa forums, magisa ka sa thread niyo. Haha.

Uhmm. Can I see how does the accessorized SX4 look? I've only seen the standard one and IMHO it looks okay for me already. If getting the standard unit will make your monthly smaller due to its lesser price then its a better & a much more practical pick. You can always install the add-ons soon anyways, who knows, you might get it at a much cheaper price outside.

The Hyundai Tucson 2.0 GLS A/T can be had for 98K all-in down payment and 28K a month for 5 years (27,992 to be exact). If you can pony up an extra 3K a month for the next 5 years, then you get a nice SUV, though FC is just similar to the X-Trail in city driving. We got a similar unit and are very happy with it... and that is coming from someone who drives an X-Trail too

I notice that you're considering the Focus which has a 120K DP. Toyota has some similar promos here:

Toyota Amazing All in Package Promo Philippines - 3849833

    BRAND NEW TOYOTA ALTIS 1.6 E MT * 122,600 ALL IN Philippines - 3775613

I believe Mantrade still has the 99K all-in for the Livina 1.8 M/T. You can look for Sherwin who is my Sales Advisor there. Just tell him Ronald from RCBC Plaza who got the X-Trail last year referred you ;)

If you still like the current model focus, maganda bumili just before lumabas ang bago. Malaki ang discount. Kung nasanay ka na sa low fc na cuv, matutuwa ka sa diesel na sedan. Also, dps are very negotiable. Kailangan marunong ka lang magbluff and negotiate.

Ok yung Soul! Matipid ang 1.6L at maganda na rin ang performance lalo na if you add some mods like aftermarket air filter, cold air intake, headers and chip if you have the budget for it.

  13. #13
currently, 2.5L is too much, pero like the power...oh well, downsize muna to 1.6...then makaipon muli pang-add-on na car: 2.5L turbo hehehe..

You should have easily noticed that all of the heavy parts of the APV are placed underneath (engine included). Wala pang rollover incident ang APV both locally and abroad.

Yup, space is one of the strong points of Suzuki APV. Add to this, the APV is one of the cheapest, if not the cheapest, 8-seater na A/T. Here's a good thread that shows both the PROS and CONS of the APV: http://tsikot.com/forums/car-buying-...uki-apv-82131/

May isang regular poster sa Club Suzuki forum na owner ng APV na naka turbo. It was done neatly by Speedlab.

Between the Soul and SX4, I like the Soul better simply because the SX4 is overpriced and I feel that for the price, the SX4 should have been equipped the same as North America's unit. That is with AWD (which is why it was called the SX4 in the first place), a 2.0L engine and CVT. Surprisingly, mas spaceous ang SX4. Both the SX4 and Soul have limited parts available outside of their casa and Suzuki is known for their sh!tty after-sale service.

Biased for and against Suzuki? Pro-APV... anti-SX4?

The APV, I think, is kinda cool. I've ridden in a few (though I didn't get to drive that turbo monster... even though I was there when it was being tested)... and it is a lot more stable than it seems because of the low placement of the engine... plus the seats are nice... though the driver's seat is a bit awkward because the padding sits on the engine cover (and no, it's not ball-frying hot). Still, that turbo one is scary as s***... not enough suspension tuning or brakes for the power... but it ought to be good for a few laughs when you line up against Civics with fart-cans...

    Ang pagbalik ng comeback...

But the APV is very tall and narrow and this makes it a not an ideal car to throw on the twisties, and wouldn't it be prone to crosswinds in the wide open spaces? Perhaps one of the reasons why there aren't many rollover accidents with the APV is because it does not have the capabilities to do so. Due to the weak engine and its stature, drivers are very much uninclined to do anything close to dramatic with it. I feel the same also with the SX4, its a shame really. If they hadn't castrated it of its good engine and AWD system, and added the diesel options, it would have been a force to be reckoned in our market.

bawat model kasi iba iba ang plus factors na worth considering.... mahirap pag walang benchmark.. sadly, none of those talaga is a good replacement sa xtrail ko.. xtrail ko na pinakabest na na naaquire ko.. kaya xtrail ko ang benchmark, then kung anu least compromise vs my xtrail dun ako....eto ang rundown ko ng tests sa mga sasakyang natest drive/ride: these are my final choices

note: it is pointless to compare the acceleration and power obviously my xtrail's qr25DE will always outrun these... so side-by-side acceleration, accelerator pedal response, AT shift shock level&response and rpm*80, 90, 100 kph are my main points of consideration. other things differ on each model. both have mo. amort of around 19-22t/mo. for the 60-mo. term.

    1. sx4 crossover - 1.6L, traditional electronic 4AT, fair acceleration, 80kph*1500rpm, 100kph*2500rpm. when all seats are up, boot space is enough for my gymbag, golf bag and 2 make-up kits... rear legroom is decent, rear seats makes you feel like you're inside a SUV--not squatting.... roof rails, trip computer are standard equipment. for the low down 28T (can be haggled to 8T down) "blinged" out unit, i get the body kit & tv-dvd-rear cam-bluetooth..aftermarket wise, aside sa IHE+ unichip...i think thats about it... unless pwede umorder ng sportier suspension kay speedlab.

    2. APV - old, but reliable G16A engine, same unit found on the gen.1 vitara... wheelbase is almost the same as my xtrail (2625mm), but shorter, taller and narrower body makes its a perfect city rounder. interior space is notably big against the competition, kahit all seats are up... dirvability: MT has a short gearing, great sa city cruise and i think i could go up to antipolo/tagaytay/baguio via marcos highway with less stress. AT - havent tested.. worth the look, fits my need, minus the extras like speed, luxury... blinged-out unit will have a low down of 68T. but by doing my math, for the whole 5-year term, it will have the least interest: only at around 200T...

3.mazda 3 hatch - promo 99T down.. since promo, kasama ung OEM(not the ones that you'll be needing that panel change) touchscreen tv-dvd-gps unit with 2 headrearst monitors. mukha naman ok ang 1.6MZR ng 3... fair acceleration, just the same-- 80*1800, 100*2200.. pero bigger boot..alam ko madami aftermarket parts nito. gives you a sporty feel, sa guage palang kala mo sports car, coupled pa ng 4at w/ MT mode.

    4. kia soul. test drive pending.. so far vs sx4, it has a stronger engine, bigger boot, taller seating/stance, more elbow room, and mych easier to reach controls. 4at w/mt mode, but walang sunvisor mirror--1 requirement ni misis! will input more one test driven... but the lack of foglights, ABS&ebd, passenger airbag, rear disc brake makes me go "hmmmm..." pero ang g. livina elite even lack power mirrors and driver airbag, but it doesnt bother me.

    5. siyempre, grand livina 6MT elite. di na ako nakaabot sa promo * 88T down! deym... di bale, waiting parin... kahit walag abs, airbag at powermirror, good compromise talaga...no need to test drive further...given a chance last year to test drive for 2 straight days w/ 3/4-full tank... kaya covered ko ang pansol on day1 and cabanatuan on day 2 with enough gas to let the SA take it home * laguna(NMPI base).

out ko na elantra.. sedan talaga doesnt fit anymore.. iba na needs ng pamilyadong tao.... kainis bakit kasi di mailabas ang exiga dito!

ready na ang bank approvals ko, buyer nalang ng xtrail hinahantay ko... the least i spend acquiring a new replacement, the best for my business expansion--more capital..hehehe..so i still have time to reconsider.....

which one is worth spending my (max of) 100t and 25t/mo. for 5 years?
