Prado and Jeep, only if it's the Rubicon. The Prado and the FJ are from the same structure but the FJ has the stupid half doors in back and cheap interior. I'd rather get the Grand Cherokee over the Durango. The Pajero would be best on road as it has IRS in back as opposed to the solid axle of the others and the Jeep would be the worst on road(best off road) because of the front and rear solid axles and the anemic minivan gas engine unless you can get the diesel.

    Pajero!

Best on road, best off-road din since you are in the mid-east and off-road probably means dune carving rather than rock climbing. There's a good reason Mitsubishi has been at the top of the Dakar rally for about a decade now.

    Prado ako! bias e hahaha

pero kahit walang bias my choices would be the Prado Pajero and the Jeep. pangit interior ng FJ. i dont like the looks of the new Durango that much.

I'd go for the Pajero. Test drove the FJ, parang H3 liit ng windows. Prado might be replaced in a few months or a year, there's a new Land Cruiser and Sequoia so the Prado might be next. Can't say much about the Jeep or Durango, for me if you consider the life span I'd go for Japanese.

Sadly there are still American trucks that have poor build quality as opposed to their japanese counter-parts. The Durango is a handsome beast but there are complaints about its bodywork, doors and some mysterious creaks.

But between the two japanese choices here, I'd go for Toyota

    Do you need an off-roader?
The Jeep Wrangler Unlimited would be a good option...

The upcoming work/military multipurpose J8 model is also interesting.

The FJ cruiser was designed to mimic the original "Jeep-like" rugged FJ LandCruisers, but underneath the retro body is a Toyota 4Runner/Prado based chassis.

Why not test drive the Pathfinder and Xterra? If you like the Toyota 4L then you'll love the VQ40DE with 30 more horsepower w/o the small windows of the FJ.

AFAIK, Internal ang chassis ng Pajero. Monocoque nga sya, pero underneath meron pa rin.

Wala nang chassis? What you mean is wala nang ladder-frame.

Like redorange said, if your off-roading is limited to dune-carving rather than rock-climbing, the lack of a ladder-frame on the Pajero doesn't really matter... at all. You only need a ladder frame if you're going to go rock-climbing or mountain-climbing.

For me, the Pajero's good road manners and sophisticated 4WD make it a winner here. Of course, if the Prado's price isn't an issue (since it's company money, right? ), then that's a good choice, too.
