Good Day.. I would like to asked some inputs regarding this two pick ups.. planning to buy kasi.

Ford Ranger 2.0 Wildtrack 4X2 AT
Toyota Hilux 2.4 Conquest 4x2 AT

recently sold my 2015 Dmax 3.0 MT
and looking for replacement.

So any inputs para makapag decide ako which one is the right for me.

to be used in the following condition.

Etc

*long distance palagi ang travel manila to north or sometimes south.. at madalas bulubundukin ang dinadaan like nueva viscaya

*can still be use as family car.

so planing to have a new AUTOMATIC trans pick up namn.. and hopefully mas kumpiyansa ako gamitin kumpare sa 2015 dmax ko.

    what i like about them.

    Ranger..
previously I owned a 2010 everest MT didnt have any problem what so ever.. even when it was abuse most of the time.. sya kargahan ko before i switch to dmax

    6 airbags

front park sensor (minsan gagamitin dn ni misis)

fewer PMS sched. 10k km or once a yr

    Hi-lux
well its toyota..its synonymous to reliability and good product.

    external looks

    spare parts

so any inputs.. con or pro is appreciated

Expert-wise Toyota, pero if you are smart, Ford can do any field work that Toyota can sa bukid, plus you can bring the Ranger sa mga makati hotels with prestige, kung let say nagpakasal ang ang anak na haciendero na kapitbahay nyo sa Shangrila

So linis lang, puwede ka maging sosyal, then balik bukid Ukit

    Astigg!

With the Toyota, bukid look all the time ka lang

Will go for Toyota hilux too... Ranger is prestige due to the car brand (Ford). Hilux on the other hand were tested in Philippine climate. Hilux resale price is also higher if well maintained. I'm Hilux 2016 4x2 G variant owner (maybe biased) but love the Toyota hilux ever since. Peace

    Bukid look LOL!!!!!!!

If i needed a pure workhorse...id go Toyota.

If i needed a semi work horse and some japorms...Ranger ......

And since you drive long distances...the ranger has a feature that will help relieve a LOT of stress in your highway driving. It has Radar automatic cruise control. A really useful safety feature that massively helps reduce driving fatigue.

I'm considering both of these as well. I hope you can also help us.

The one that is deterring me from purchasing the Ranger WildTrak is the recurring actuator issue posted by a lot of owners.

I'm also considering Nissan Navara but im worried about the 'kabig' issue. There's a shop in Manila that has supposedly found a fix to this issue and it is regarding the soft rack and pinion bushing. They replace the said busing with their own custom bushing and it supposedly fixes the issue.

Stage1 can replace that bushing... so what's the issue there?

    Go with the Hilux.

Although may Rear Diff Lock yong 4x2 2.0 na Wildtrak, would you be comfortable punishing that 2.0 engine?
Sa isang Aussie website, they reviewed this 4x2 2.0 WT and medyo hirap daw sa kargahan and akyatan.

Besides, medyo may mga problems sa WT like yong ingay sa dash pag inoff yong engine (Aircon actuator), injector problems on some Raptor units and may jerk sa transmission on some units as well.

Me too contemplating between a Hilux and a DMAX kaso i-reveal na tomorrow sa Thailand yong all new DMAX 2020 so abangers mode muna.

What did you dont like with your previous DMAX?

    This.

Curios though, what did you don't like about your Dmax?

If I'm to choose, i'll take the Toyota now.

Well, masarap i-drive ang Ranger yung EPAS at tagtag ang deal braker nung bumili ako, 2.2 has enough power to haul heavy cargos. PMS is 8K outside casa 8L fully synthetic oil, cabin filter, oil filter, air filter, MAF Sensor cleaning. it's comfortable to drive at hindi sumasakit ang likod at braso ko sa long drive.

this might be an Isolated case perhaps.
i felt that nahihinaan ako sa dmax 3.0

well some would say clutch problema o pudpud na.. but i don't hear any squel noise and clutch slip.. mismong makina wala ding reaction kahit sagad ka na sa gas pedal. I would say it could be possible mabagal ang pick up ng turbo. or yung feed back ng gas pedal ay delay (not sure if 15 dmax is drive by wire na)

I have never had this problem with my previous everest 2.5 M/T. na kahit nakabitin ako sa inclined sa traffic di ako takot mag timpla.

by the way 4x2 lang tlga ang budget ko.. may mga 4x4 sa lower variant kaya lang manual.. mas nanaig yung automatic kaysa may 4x4 sa needs ko..
