just wondering kung sino kaya sa 2 ang new king of the hill , alin kaya mas matulin sa dalawa sa 0-100kmh at sa top speed considering navarra six gear ratio = 0.827 while the ranger 5th gear ratio = 0.8000

    1.) navarra 4x4 2.5L vs ranger 4x4 3.0L

    2.) navarra 4x2 vs ranger trekker 4x2 both 2.5L

Sir, there are already threads comparing the ranger and the new frontier.

also, here's one link doing just that: http://www.drive.com.au/Editorial/Ar...rticleID=38059

AFAIK, The 3.0 liter ranger reaches accelerates faster than the 4x4 navara.

The Ranger can spin to 100 km/h in 11 seconds flat with the 4x4 AT. The Ranger may have more supposed top-end power and torque, but it's got a smaller powerband. It should get there a bit slower.

In other words, the Navarra makes power over a shorter rpm range.

That's the problem with some CRDi cars. They don't boost until like 2000 rpm, and boost cuts off around 3500 rpm. With old school diesels, they make power from 1000-3500.

I'm not saying the Navarra is like this (as I haven't done instrumented tests on it yet, I don't know), but from reports overseas, it's got a short powerband.

I don't think the ranger can really hit the speed of 190 km/h like the navara as shown in the you tube video, coz I think the ranger's power train is electronically programmed to be limited in terms of speed due to SAFETY reasons. I referred this issue to a FORD Head mechanic, and he confirms that this is true. Volvo Cars, being the safest car in the world and under the umbrella of FORD Motors Corporation, has its safety stature being adopted to all cars under FORD Motors (which includes Land Rover, Mazda, Jaguar, et al.).

In terms of the uphill king, I believe the Power Ranger would still merit the crown, as I always believe that FORD cars has always got the muscle in this arena. But of course, that would still have to be REALLY tried and tested in its actuality.

This is the 4x2, and it's being described as having a fat powerband
