    Tsikot Tsips!

    Enlightenment lang po.

I am planning to buy a 2nd hand car, my budget is around 150k to 200k.
I have these cars in mind:

Civic Esi, Nissan Eccs, Mazda 97 (round body), corolla big body.

ESi - Ok po ito, ok ang porma, pero 15 yrs of service na ito sa kalye,
baka every other month, may pinapalitan na ako. Mahal pa ang selling
price nya ngayon (160-190k). Baka maubusan na ako pera kakapagawa nito,
thinking that honda parts are rare and expensive (tama po ba ako?) at wala
po kasi abs and airbag. I am starting a family kasi, mahirap ang
    wala sasakyan.

Nissan ECCS - Ok po sana, kasi mura (100k to 130k). Kumpleto pa ang lahat
ng functions ng mga high end cars. ABS, Airbag, na di tulad sa esi. Pero sabi
kasi nila, Nissan parts are expensive (because they are usually in assembly,
not by parts) at madali "daw" masira.

Mazda 97 - Kumpleto po lahat, mura (130k to 160k), may airbag, abs.

I hope you could enlighten most of us who are in search for a cheap and reliable car, knowing that these models are the most traded ones here in Tsikot.

OA ang Civic, as for the Corolla ok lang pero dapat kilala mo iyong magbebenta sa iyo pero based from your posts eh parang hindi.

My personal pick, I would go for the ECCS or Mazda.

I'd also go for the Nissan & Mazda... they have more features as compared to other vehicles.

The ESi is just overpriced for an old car.

Either the Mazda or the Nissan. As for "madaling masira" IMO all cars are "madaling masira" if not maintained - and driven - properly.

either of the 4 cars of your choices, ok lahat performance ng mga yan.. if i were you, hindi ako magmamadaling bumili. makakahanap ka rin ng mura at maganda. dont expect na ang makukuha mong 2nd hand car walang sira, tama c nick. lahat ng cars nasisisra, even mine, kahit anong alaga ko, meron at meron nasisira..

Sentra. Best value for money. And Sentra parts are relatively cheap, but not as cheap as Toyota. And in my experience, hindi madaling masira.

hi mr. 50 caliber, i'll try not to recommend/suggest kung ano ang bibilhin mo, but try to consider this, you said you're planning to buy a second hand car for your family, tama ang sabi mo na yung parts para sa sntra, cvic & Mzda are more expsive ksi usually assmbly ang mabbli mo, so ok ang ba corolla? based on my obsrvtion, mas tumatagal ang assmbly parts kaya lang ang problma yung availbility, kung coralla ang car mo, sabi nga nila, kahit na sa barrio ka masiraan, makkbili ka ng pyesa basta my auto supply, para sa akin mas magnda bumili ng sntra, cvic & Mzda kung brnd new ang bibilin mo and try to use it up to 5 to 6 yrs. kung mdyo kpos pa din ang budget for a new one, kasi remember na ang depreciation is disproportionate sa wear & tear ng sskyan. kya kung maingat ka naman at you will sell your car after 3 yrs, to buy for a new unit, lugi ka. Now, you might ask....bkit pwde naman ako pumili ng maayos pa na sntra, civc o mzda ah....! simple lang ang sagot ko dyan kuya.....kahit gaano kaayos ang nabili mo second hand car, gagstos at gagastos ka pa din dyan, so kailangan meron ka at least 5-10k sa bulsa mo.....remember hindi brand new ang bbilhin mo. regarding sa mga features na sinsbi mo like, ABS, airbag etc. para sa akin mas nagging mas risky sa part mo ang maghanap ng scond hand car pag ganon pang pilit mo makuha, kasi mas mabigat ang pag maintain ng sskyan na kung ano-ano ang naka kabit, again ksi po second hand ang bibilhin nyo. remember, kapag nabili nyo na ang car at eventually gusto nyo ulit palitan dahil mdyo ngkamli kyo, you cannt sell it sa price na gusto mo based on the acquisition price plus the imprvement or any accessories na inilagay nyo.

    hope this will help.

    Either Civic or Corolla ako:

    Civic - Easy to porma
    Corolla - Easy Maintenance

I've never had any parts problem with our Mazda 323 - it's just another automobile myth that Toyota parts are available in any store nationwide.
