Hi guys, I need help it's my first time to buy a bnew car from my own pocket. So for daily drive lang siya around the metro. Maybe some province driving like Batangas or somewhere North for vacation. Mostly me or 2 people lang. Max is 4. I'm not a tall person around 5'6 former runner (varsity player) but I'm big on the upper body so Icoconsider ko din yung space sa driving position. So those 4 are on my list but I'm open for suggestion. Hopefully you can share some insight on this one guys. Thank you so much.

diesel accent would be on top of my list, if I didn't have a car now hehe
    gas variant? *thumbs down*

sabi nung friend ko medyo bitin daw yung MG5 sa overtake. Kinocompare niya kasi dun sa FD2 ko haha. Seems sufficient naman for City driving. Ganda pa ng interior/exterior tsaka electronics.

I'm not a fan po of diesel accent. MG5 is really good looking. I guess because of the 1.5 engine kaya medyo bitin. Coming from a FD2 medyo malaki nga diff nun. Well should I just play safe sa Vios?

any particular reason why youre not considering the diesel accent? nagtaka lang ako since kinoconsider mo yung gas na accent. The crdi is torquey, masaya yung hatak niya. Tipid pa sa krudo.

Although I am wary of PMS so if ako, mas kunin ko Vios wala pa ako tiwala sa Hyundai Philippines at Kia haha

I know multiple owners of Hyundai Diesel na may bad experiences and mahirap daw I maintain compared sa gas.

I have an Accent diesel hatch na 196k+ kms na.
    Advantages:
Very fuel efficient, averages 6L/100 hiway/city
    Very zippy, responsive engine
    Durable suspension
    Roomy cabin & trunk
    Very fun to drive
    Torquey engine
    Very strong passenger shell

    Disadvantages
    Low ride height
    Average NVH
    PMS of 3 months/5k
    Dated exterior
    Bare interior
    SRS

If you’re coming from a Civic FD, you’ll be disappointed with most of the subcompact cars in terms of performance.

    1m below po.

I'm not a fan diesel cars unless it's a pick up or SUV. I'm not picky naman all I need is from point A to point B. So I think vios it is.

The Geely Coolray is a much better car than any of the affordable subcompact sedans or crossovers available locally. It is even better than some of the compact cars.

Give it a test drive and you’ll be surprised.

Ang problema ko po kasi dyan since I don't know anyone na using that kind of brand. Baka mahirap mag hanap ng piyesa and PMS/warranty. Then bago lang so durability din po.

Just ask for a test drive. No commitment naman to buy if you’re just inquiring. Geely owns Volvo and they are marketing Volvo technology at a more affordable price in Asia.

However, if you’re the type of person who don’t like to explore other brands, then go buy the Vios. Toyota commands a premium price for its sometimes boring offerings with less features but market control is what they have.

Anong car mo ngayon? And will you keep it?

Also, how long do you plan to keep the car?

    For me
Note: you mentioned All Base Model

    1. Vios - there's a reason why madami sya sa road + the "economic benefits" of the Toyota badge when its time for a replacement
-> issue I can see is that you might need to buy mags and a new head-unit later

    2. Accent - good 2nd for me
-> not sure about the head unit, pero I think you also need to buy mags later

    3. Stonic - IMO, this will be a above the Accent for me, if you have another car, nauna lang Accent if isa lang car mo... And I'm a "car person" so will always vote a car over a crossover/SUV
-> big pus, based on reviews. The car is well equipped, plus Kia is under AC

    4. MG5 - sorry, really not a fan of TCCCI

A bit more expensive but I'd also take a look at the base Honda City if you don't mind the "prestige"

The all new City has grown so much that it is about the same size as some compacts. Good value since you get more car for the money IMHO.
