i would go for montero. mas practical sya. especially kung yung out of trips mo e yung malulubak or muddy. at lalong lalo na para sa baha sa metro manila.
I have both.
Montero - daily driver/pang harabas
ASX - weekend warrior/coding car
Midsize SUV vs CUV. Unique din trip mo compare a.
7 vs 5 seater, diesel vs gas....
Thai vs Jap made...
Asx - bilang sa kalye.
Montero - mala ondoy sa dami. LOL
Ilan ba kayo pag out of town?
(I have a family w/ a total of 4-members pero mas pinili ko ASX because of everyday use, comfort, convinience, safety, agility, simplicity...)
I dont need yet montero or the like because of its ride height, 9yrs old yung youngest ko at mahihirapan sa pag sakay at pag-baba.
Finally, sort out at I-balance mo lang yung needs mo, then make a checklist para makita mo kung alin ang mas advantage, & select what you really need!
So very minimal difference lang pla sa FC! based sa ride quality ano mas maganda pag out of town un ang major concern ko! car namin kasi avanza kaya gusto namin mag upgrade!
Minimal diff kasi same drivin habits. Haha, pls dnt quote me on this or treat my fc as the worst you can get.ü
Ride comfort sa ASX syempre compared sa monty. 2 lang kme ni mrs kasi and expecting a baby boy by the end of the year. (Add a maid/yaya soon)
The "solid" feel and power for long drives gets my vote for monty.
Yes? I'm not sure what you call it -- but while driving the monty, usually nasa manual (+/-) mode ako and kapag relax driving i switch to "D".
For ASX by habit nasa "D" ako - and whenever trip ko magmanual pinipitik ko lan yun paddle shift (changes to "manual"). Pressing the "+" for 2secs (or na-traffic) changes back to "D" mode.
This is what im referring to, sorry if misleading. By experience i believe with this way of driving - it affects FC.
Please correct me if i am wrong.
*TS, nga pala my rides are
Monty '11 GLS-V (4x2 AT)
ASX '12 GLS (4x2 AT)
The latter lang. Just wanted to make sure both were automatic transmission variants.
;)
Ang pagbalik ng comeback...
i would probably get the Asx based on your feedbacks. I am still saving up for the downpayment hopefully before the year ends.
Hahaha!
Mas maliit, less problem on parking.
On mods naman. You may check our Asx thread.
Pareho kasi tayo with lancer ng engine 4B11 tuned lang asx to a higher torque (daw coz of the heavier body).
If i recall Ghosthunter's setup:
- gt-a wheels
- headers
- unichip (ecu piggyback?)
- bigbrakes
* pending is MIVEC retuning....
If what you are after is comfort, go with the asx but if fuel economy- montero mt.
