Personally Forester 2.0. Montero is ok pero pag ako rtalaga Forester as time passes by nagiging madami ng Montero beyond my liking. Baka ito na ang susunod na SUV ng masa dethroning the Fortuner. Pag naka Forester ka gwapo points, sabay lingon. Ako napapalingon ako sa Forester while Montero wala ng appeal sakin even though last year lang nilabas. Downside is medyo uhaw ang Forester (6km/L is what I heard), if its not an issue yun na lang.

Family of 4?
Go Forester! Aside from all the features, including 4x4, stability and traction control, iba ang aura niyan.

August 20th, 2009 08:17 AM #10Family cars...sedans are too cramped for families nowadays. Consider...
Montero Sport. There's a Mitsu dealership on every corner unlike Subaru. And since TS drives in the metro, there's no doubt the MS will save more money on fuel since diesel is cheap (for now) and I've noticed the DI-D is a relatively fuel efficient engine.
We can take speed out of the question on both cars. Subaru reported a 185km/h top speed and 12.7sec 0-100km/h acceleration on the Forester 2.0L. That's about as fast as some MPVs, but not impressive as a Subaru should be. The Montero Sport won't do any better with a 167km/h top speed. Verdict: both cars are no sports cars.
Finally, given that it'll be driven in Metro Manila, the higher ground clearance of the MS means less worries when driving through flooded streets.
EDIT:
I forgot, wife and small kids won't like getting on the MS.Last edited by roberto_minosa; August 20th, 2009 at 08:21 AM.
